Fiona Hill’s Lawyer Says Sondland Lied (10:16 a.m.)
The lawyer for Fiona Hill, a key witness in the House impeachment inquiry, accused Gordon Sondland, the U.S. ambassador to the European Union, of lying in his testimony about interactions with her.
“Sondland has fabricated communications with Dr. Hill, none of which were over coffee,” Lee Wolosky said in a tweet Wednesday. Sondland had testified that he and Hill had a coffee at the time she left her job as a senior aide on the White House’s National Security Council. Sondland said she had never expressed “critical comments” to him about President Donald Trump’s policy toward Ukraine.
“Dr. Hill told Sondland what she told lawmakers — the lack of coordination on Ukraine was disastrous,” Wolosky tweeted, and said the forcing out of Marie Yovanovitch, the ambassador to Ukraine, was “shameful.”

A.) Sondland didn’t know and still doesn’t why aid was held up.
He, as said here, “presumed” it was because of corruption. Kellyanne brought this up.
He then told Yermak his assumption.
Presumption and assuming on Sondland’s part don’t prove anything and certainly not quid pro quo.
As said here, he supposedly tells Yermak the aid may not be released without an anti-corruption statement.
Again, as stated here, Sondland says this was also based upon an assumption.
Sondland also said when he spoke with Trump that Trump wanted no quid pro quo with Ukraine.
It is either the aforementioned, or B.) Sondland flipped.
If he did flip his script was he lying then or now? If he is lying his testimony is not credible.
The MSM keeping the focus on the bogus. Yavonabitch, or however it’s spelled was an Ambassador who worked at the pleasure of the President. If the President wanted another person in that position the President has every right to eliminate the current in favor of a preferred. This article is focusing on something totally irrelevant.

What these folks, who serve at the pleasure of the President, “presume”, “imagine”, or even “believe” is irrelevant.
Sondland appears to have no clue what was going on. Like Joe Biden.
The MSM keeps saying there are at least 6 people who confirm quid pro quo, or whatever, but they all had their credibility torpedoed and so they keep moving along to the next person while claiming the aforementioned 6 really did confirm this.
Now Hill brings doubt to Sondland’s testimony.
So first they have a closed hearing and then the same witnesses will testify to the same questions (???) in an open hearing. Anyone care to explain...

Didn’t Yovanovitch already testify? Schiff is going to have these coupists “testify” twice before the Senate GOP attempts to gather any facts from them. Infuriating.

It really doesn’t matter what lies these fake witnesses are suborned into telling - everyone knows the House Democrat impeachment process is a complete farce. It is so thoroughly partisan, and so obviously an abuse of the impeachment clause, that the Senate will relish dismissing it outright, and with prejudice.
That is why House Democrats are slow walking it every step of the way - they know their whole impeachment fantasy will go ‘poof’ as soon as the Senate gets it - and it will be brushed off as the nothing burger it is.
This reminds me of one of those high school revenge dramas where a jilted boyfriend decides to spread nasty lies about his innocent ex-girlfriend being a slut. Meanwhile, nobody believes him, everyone knows what is really going on - the guy is just butt-hurt because she broke up with him. He thinks he’s trashing her reputation, but really he’s only trashing his own.
That’s the House Democrats - they imagine they are going to hound President Trump from office in a Watergate-type scandal, but in fact, they are disgracing themselves, and all but ensuring his re-election.

Doesn’t look chaotic at all to me. Dems are moving along on schedule to impeach POTUS around New Years. Since the Dems control which witnesses are called I don’t think they care if the GOP questions them. The Dems will never call the witnesses we really need to hear from Biden, Biden Jr., the ICIG, the spy in the WH, etc.
