Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker may have legalized recreational marijuana and ushered in a massive capital plan in his first year, but a Morning Consult poll finds hes the eighth most unpopular governor in the country.
While Pritzkers approval rating has remained relatively steady, his disapproval rating has climbed, the poll found.
Earlier this year, a Morning Consult poll found his favorability at 44%, with the latest poll clocking him at 43%. His disapproval rating has grown from 35% earlier this year to 42%. Unsurprisingly, the disapproval is coming from Republicans, who watched the political newcomer rush in a bevy of progressive measures, including his push for a graduated income tax question on the 2020 ballot. Of those polled, 14% said they were undecided.
With a massive budget and capital plan finalized not to mention the legalization of marijuana, gambling expansion and the strengthening of the states abortion laws the rookie governor notched big victories during his first go-around in Springfield.

“unpopular” governors don’t get elected
Doesn’t matter, but i know he we get another term or maybe even a third. Cook county and Chicago rule this state.
Repub party here is a joke. They will pick a person out of crowd and have them run for governor.
I’d be happy to help kick his fat arse up to #1
“most unpopular governor in the country.”
Gavin Newsome of California:
“Hold muh kambucha and watch this..”
LOL I live in Cal we have no GOP The dems outlawed it.
They didn’t mention that after
it was sinisterly(is that a word?) called into committee at the 11th hour
Pritzker signed the most HORRIFIC abortion law
on the books in any state of the union.
Perhaps only China’s forced one child policy surpasses it’s inhumanity.

CAGW Names Illinois Gov. J. B. Pritzker September 2019 Porker of the Month

Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) named Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzker (D) September 2019 Porker of the Month for signing a $40.1 billion budget without any spending restraints and $1.4 billion in pork-barrel projects.
223.9 billion shortfall, which breaks down to a debt burden of $52,600 per taxpayer. The state has $6 billion in unpaid bills and the lowest credit rating of any state in the country. Its unfunded pension liability tops $130 billion. Illinois taxpayers are so saddled with debt, taxes, corrupt local government, and dwindling middle-class jobs that 157,000 residents have left over the past five years.

They get elected by core dem constituencies, state workers and unions...not general electorate.
so the electorate hands their ballots to the union officials?
He looks like the poster boy for all the bad health diseases that a human can have.
Puke Inspiring. And greasy hair to boot.
I guess Pritzker is Gov of IL. Although you won’t find that info in the article. The reporter needs to realize news is a world-wide event.
The full list. I don’t know how well it will post. The top 14 most popular governors are Republican.

Surprisingly to me that Matt Bevin is so low.
Pritzker was elected by union and state workers in Chicago and Springfield.
Every heard the axiom in Chicago, vote early and often?
Outside of Chicago and Springfield, IL is red.
