Indians in America have the highest net worth compared to any other ethnic group, including American born whites. The Indians are no different than how Americans morph from wet behind the ears under 30 who start out as liberals, and gradually become conservative as they get older and wiser. When a typical Indian-American becomes prosperous, they see the light and become republicans. I was for JFK & LBJ when under age 30. In 1970 I acquired US citizenship, and in 1972 voted for Nixon and every republican president since. I think I was one of the first on FR to jump on the Trump train when many so called “principled conservatives” were bashing him.

Better Indians than Chinese (spies). We need India as a major ally as a hedge against China. For all it's problems, India is a lot closer to the USA culturally than is China.
IMO, one of the biggest mistakes that the US ever made in foreign policy was linking up with China instead of India.

When I have twice been in rural India this was the thing that appalled me the most. S#it everywhere! You had to totally be careful how and where you walked.
Even in the big urban(ancient) cities, crap on the streets, everywhere.
All this doo-doo dried, mingled with other dust and that dust you breathe in as you go about.
Both times I had to quickly evac India to go to the hospital elsewhere to be treated for a lung infection.
So, if true, this is a massively good thing!
