House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) threatened to hold former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski in contempt of Congress because of his "refusal to answer questions" relating to the Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report.
"Mr. Lewandowski, your behavior in this hearing room has been completely unacceptable. It is part of a pattern of a White House desperate for the American people not to hear the truth," Nadler said. “I’ve been asked several times today whether the Committee will hold you in contempt. It is certainly under consideration."
"There is a far more troubling level of contempt on display here today and that is President Trump's role in your refusal to answer questions. The pattern of obstruction laid out in the Mueller report has not stopped," Nadler explained. "You showed the American people in real time that the Trump administration will do anything and everything in its power to obstruct the work of the Congress. The president's lawyers are sitting behind you right now to make sure that you do not answer us."
According to Nadler, Congress is focused on exposing "corruption, obstruction and abuse of power."
"Make no mistake, we will hold President Trump accountable," Nadler concluded.
Lewandowski refused to answer questions relating to previous conversations with President Trump. He cited executive privilege as his reason for not providing insight.

The remarks came after Democrats tussled for more than five hours with Lewandowski over his involvement in a possible obstruction episode as laid out in special counsel Robert Mueller 's report. In particular, they sought to have the longtime Trump ally answer questions about Trump asking Lewandowski to pass along a message to then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions in 2017 that urged him to reverse his recusal and set limits on the Russia probe.
Lewandowski ultimately turned to then-White House official Rick Dearborn to deliver the letter. Dearborn did not ultimately follow through, telling investigators that the request made him uncomfortable.

I just watched a video where Corey went at it with ‘House Judiciary Counsel’ Barry Berke and I have developed an enormous respect for Corey and what he and POTUS have gone through with these assassins.

Notice Berke is not a House member, he is a lawyer presumably brought in to make the hit but by God’s Will he missed. Berke told his own version of reality through his questioning, trying at every turn to make events fit a script that was contrived by a murderous agenda. Corey ducked, pivoted, checked, and jabbed when possible and left this ivy League lawyer spinning out with his own broken fable.
The hearing went on for what seemed hours and hours trying to wear Corey down and he was visibly worn but still standing at the end. The Republicans corrected and defended but were mostly mute not because they were gutless but because taking any more time of Corey’s life for this lynching would have stretched the hearing into another day possibly.
The hearing revealed that Nadler’s circle of influence is a ring of criminals. These people are criminals who could easily land an innocent, unskilled, and inexperienced person behind bars for a long time with a reduced life expectancy.
Hardcore leftists were amused I am sure but that’s where it ends for them because nothing incriminating came of it although Nadler’s circle tried to trap and trip Corey dozens and dozens and dozens of times again and again.
Corey was very fast on his feet and took this abuse for hours from a group of thugs that should be hauled into court for willful, egregious, unwarranted harassment bordering on assault.
Corey is not a product of the Swamp = federal bureaucracy, he’s not a connected Ivy Leaguer, he’s not a member of their self-exalted aristocracy, he’s from a poor background of meager means who just happens to be tough as nails with instincts that are uniquely Herculean and I’m not making hyperbole. I witnessed his grit and speed of execution. POTUS was fortunate to find and select such people. I can see now POTUS has an eye for the right people, gives them a chance but will put them out when they’re out of juice. What Corey went through would fell most any larger than life lion.
This was an attempted lynching of Corey and the lynchers couldn’t get him tied up and noosed after dozens and dozens of attempts.
But I could imagine with a grounding close to reality that President Trump has nerves of steel and unlimited patience to be able to put up with these snakes.
What went on inside Nadler’s room was an assault, an attempted lynching, with one goal in mind, to get Corey on any inconsistency, anything they could get plastered in their lapdog media that would tell they got Lewandowski, the President’s campaign manager, and therefore by proxy the President himself.
And they got nothing.

They’re in cahoots — a good cop / bad cop routine, with of course Nancy calling the shots. This is all a dog and pony show in an attempt to appease the rabid base. All for show. Nadless knows there’ll be no impeachment vote.
Definitely glad they ‘can’t’ come here to the hinterlands and lock up EVERYBODY that has contempt of congress.
I have often mused about how much time I would be spending in jail were I to be called in front of a ‘committee’ and a slug like Ted Kennedy or Joe Biden or John Kerry etc started railing on ME about my morality etc.
Got to give Cavanaugh a lot of credit even though I ‘despise’ him for not giving his inquisitors a piece of his mind.
How that Feinstein even dares show her face is just a good sign of how contemptible and out of touch they are.
