NC-9 Special Election Discussion
Bishop (R) vs McCready (D)
I think it was the NC Republican Party that requested the extension.
EST? Does NC not due daylight savings time?
Yes, NC has daylight saving time
An extension for a Durham precinct is how Cooper stole the election from McCrory.
What time do you expect results to begin coming in?
Why is Dem candidate listed first in both races?
Diamond and Silk WERE at the rally last night.
They interviewed with RSBN as soon as they got there and then they spoke at the beginning of the rally after Don Jr. spoke.
That’s where I live...
Crooks!
Early results CNN
House 3
Thomas (D) 1,448
Murphy (R) 1,224
House 9

The NC Republican Party requested the extension, so presumably the precinct (precinct 220, Mecklenburg Co) is an R county.
Thanks. I was limited to news coverage.
Do you think they influence the Black vote?
That’s exactly right but this time I believe it was the Repubs who wanted an extension of time for that precinct because evidently the location for that precinct had changed and the Repubs feared that the voters did not know the new location.
It's now 7:55 in North Carolina and all polls have now closed and counties can actually start reporting results now (lawfully). Remember, early results will look much better for Dems than the final tally. #NC09 #NC03— Aaron Booth (@ActorAaronBooth) September 10, 2019
I noticed in district 3 there is a candidate on the ballot for the Constitution Party and one on the Libertarian Party. Could siphon off Republican votes
FIRST RESULTS IN:
Dan McCready ahead by 631 votes over Dan Bishop
McCready- 23,526
Bishop- 22,895
Scott- 140
Allen- 80
Thanks for the info, I feel better knowing it’s a Republican extension.
EST?
80k voted early. With 45k counted, D up by only 1% is good news so far.
Dems ballots cast, led by 6% in EV voting.

MagaCoalition will host pollster Richard Barris, People’s Pundit which did a great job calling the election in 2016.
Good news.
Sigh ....It’s going to be a long night....and a very close race.
Dear Lord, we don’t deserve Your mercy and grace but we are asking for it in this election!!!!
thank you so much Jenny for your reports.
