Amazon Has Ceded Control of Its Site. The Result: Thousands of Banned, Unsafe or Mislabeled Products
The Wall Street Journal ^ | Aug 23, 2019 | Alexandra Berzon, Shane Shifflett, Justin Scheck

Many of the millions of people who shop on Amazon.com see it as if it were an American big-box store, a retailer with goods deemed safe enough for customers.

In practice, Amazon has increasingly evolved like a flea market. It exercises limited oversight over items listed by millions of third-party sellers, many of them anonymous, many in China, some offering scant information.

And sedentary people should go to the Keto diet. If you are more active then you can eat more carbs.

You do realize that “nutritionist” is a self appointed title. Any idiot can just declare themselves one, there’s no training, no licensing, nothing. Wanna be a nutritionist, buy some business cards that say you are.

Meanwhile, out here in reality, Americans just plain eat too damn much.

Actually I’d advice them to stop being sedentary first. Lots of benefits to that. Lower your heart rate, increase your calorie burn, keep your strength up so you don’t wind up helpless when you get older (a frightening percentage of people over 60 can’t pour a glass of milk from a gallon jug, not enough arm strength). On the diet side just reduce EVERYTHING. Really, Americans eat too much. 2/3 reduction across the board would do most people a world of good. then you don’t have to be all weird avoiding yummy food all the time. Just eat less.

You can’t outrun a bad diet.

At what point does this become aiding and abetting criminal activity? I would think that lots of State Attorney Generals and the federal Consumer Protection folks would start to look at Amazon like they would look at someone actively advertising and profiting from the sale of say any other illegal product. The mail fraud laws are pretty broad.

We eat too much, but we also eat the wrong things. Anyone who tries to restrict carbs soon realizes that prepared foods and restaurants use tons of simple carbs. Lots of bread or flour. And we act as if being hungry was a mortal sin instead of a normal feeling!

Wild animals gain weight in summer to prepare for winter. In modern America, winter never comes. Carbs are not bad. An endless supply of excess carbs is.

Especially the processed junk.

One of the benefits of Keto is that if done right, pretty much eliminates processed food, yes I know technically you can eat Pork Rinds, and that garbage, but clean Keto is basically grass-finished beef, fish, green leafy vegetables, avocados, nuts, and eggs.

And I “cheat” by making chocolate treats with 100% Cacao powder and Swerve sweetener.

You can make Keto bread with Almond Flour.

Just do NOT buy anything in a store that says it’s Keto Bread, it’s not.

“You can’t outrun a bad diet.”

Yep! Here in Texas, in the middle of the summer, I saw a gardener (Hispanic, and obvious he’s been doing it for years, or decades). I think of a physical job than that. He weighed at least 300 lbs., with his tummy hanging down big-time. He couldn’t outrun his carb-laden diet, not a chance. Very sad for him.

I keep notebooks with a daily listing of the foods I eat and the calories associated with them.
The energy I burn during the day has an effect but if I don’t go over 2000 cal I can normally maintain my weight.
If I want to lose some I keep it in the 1500-1800 range until the weight goes down to an acceptable level.

Depends on where you live.

It’s not BRAVE to wear it if it’s gonna get you hurt or killed and leave your family with you

I JUST sent a email to family to not wear MAGA hats and pins.

Many here will get mad that but the HATRED on the left is like nothing its ever been.

If/when the battle comes, then we can wear them into battle.

In a perfect world we would not have to worry and it SHOULD be our right.

It should also be our right to walk through the worst neighborhoods in chicago at 3am alone but we wouldn’t.

I’m not a coward. But i won’t get injured when it does nothing to forward our cause

My wife’s boss lost a lot of weight. People asked him if he had a special diet. His response: “Eat less, move more.”

carbs such as fruits, many vegetables, grains have sustained the world's population for ever and I notice that population growth is not an issue in most countries....

maybe its just too much of one carb....sugar.....

Amazon also sells stuff that is used as new; ships out products that are faulty, broken, or missing pieces; sells a bunch of cheap Chinese crap that are identical but under no-name Chinese brands; sells products that are fakes or shoplifted from stores; and there are so many phony reviews, that few of them can be trusted.

There are many things I simply won’t buy at Amazon.
