Pelosi told her to lose him if she wants any chance to at reelection in 2020. Maybe she made it clear that "lose him" means he's gone, and that she'll be watching to make sure it happens.

Just look at other Congress critters like Maxine Watters. Watters is all stupid, all the time - it has never hurt her.
(Most of my friends in wind and solar are actually pro-coal, as well... it doesn't have to be a competition for existence, both are needed, both help diversify our resources, and both help keep energy plentiful and cheap.... and NOBODY is pro-GreenNewDeal.)
