Like I previously correctly surmised on another thread, the family had ties in the US and Great Britain. The brother got to scam his way through 2 countries. He did a final year at a US high school, returned to Britain, came back when Sis cooked up a low cost college tuition scam. He graduated and stayed a while on our dime at a low cost public housing apartment until he was evicted and returned to Great Britain.

It means she & hubby #1 were married according to Shariah by the imam, but without a civil (legally documented) state of Minnesota marriage license being filed at the courthouse.
Which **could** mean she was *also* claiming to be a *single mother* in order to collect welfare benefits.
This could easily be checked in state HHS records from 2002-2009, using her SS #.
This is a common ploy— if you dont legally marry baby daddy who lives in the home, you aren’t legally required to include his income on your financial statement.
So it’s not surprising the imam helped out again, by granting an Islamic “divorce” (wink-wink) of an ongoing Islamic marriage that was never registered in the courthouse to begin with— just in case there was any question of bigamy.
Conversely, she was legally required to marry hubby #2 in order to get him thru immigration, so that’s what she did.
The fact that she is a devout Muslim, yet the imam did *not* officiate at her marriage to hubby #2, strongly indicates the marriage was intended as an immigration scam, and her imam was likely in on it.
That the officiant in this *civil* ceremony was a Christian minister, further underscores something amiss.
The operative word here is “taqquiyeh.”
That hubby #2 (the brother) seems to travel a lot between US, UK, and Middle East, is, frankly, alarming.
Not sure if enough evidence to place him on terror watch list. His Instagram is almost TOO innocuous. Wonder if there’s some kind of embedded code. He acts too-too sugary sweet.

One on paper in the USA, the other in practice (under sharia). The one she “legally” married, is apparently her biological brother. They were just committing immigration fraud to get him US citizenship. During the time she was supposedly “married” to him, she apparently continued to live with, produce children with, and even file joint income tax returns (another crime) with Mr. Hirsi.

The gist is that she is not actually a member of the Omar family (the ones who got refugee status). She was born in the Esmi family. The Omars allowed (committed fraud) for three members of the Esmi family (Ilhan, her father, and one of her sisters) to pose as members of the Omar family, to get US citizenship as well.
Ilhan later committed multiple frauds, to get her brother (one of the other three members of her biological nuclear Esmi family, who had received UK citizenship), to get US citizenship.
This type of fraud was rampant among Somali immigrants at the time. 87% of those Somalis then claiming familial relation as their basis for application, who were then genetically tested, were shown to be frauds. From 2008-2012, that basis for application was suspended for Somalis, because of the overwhelming fraud.

They apparently split the family up, perhaps because of its size.
The eldest sister took herself and her two brothers to England, and raised the youngest brother. I am not sure of the age of the older brother. The father took the two younger daughters with him to the U.S., where they changed their names and claimed they were part of another family.
