Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, a Democrat and KKK member, was extremely successful having federal agencies and offices moved from DC to his state. No complaints from the bureaucrats, press, or Democrat politicians when those transfers were made. If we had an opposition party to the Democrats in Congress, Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell would be making the point. Instead, silence as usual.

Good...more of the agencies should be in other places... The FBI should be on Little St James Island...I heard the BLM is moving to Colorado...

Now, if some staff are not moving, permanently cut the openings...

This region has some of the best agricultural schools in the country. These people can be easily replaced. I wish them well in their future job search’s.

Excellent. A first substantive move to drain the swamp. I hope lots more government agencies get moved out of Imperial Washington. If some swamp creatures can be gotten rid of in the process, so much the better.

That’s all right. I’m sure they know more about agriculture in Kansas City than in DC anyway.

The government, I don’t recall if it was Bush or Obama, moved the Army’s Human Resources Command from Alexandria, VA to Ft. Knox, KY a few years ago. That move was made because of the, in my view idiotic decision to merge the Infantry and Armor Centers at Ft. Benning, GA, thus leaving many buildings empty at Ft. Knox.

And during the Cold War, there was continual talk of needing to move departments out of DC so that the entire government and all its agencies wouldn’t be taken out when the Soviets nuked DC. The agencies weren’t moved and the Soviets didn’t nuke DC.

Kansas City is a liberal city. The outstate area is conservative.

Surely FedGov has office space in North Dakota. Move every regulating agency there and sell the buildings in DC.

I hope Trump does not walk this decision back at the 11th hour. But if he does, he does.

This needs to accelerate. DC swamp will only be shrunk by moving the groups into small groups all over the country
