On November 10, 2017, we reported how the Wall Street Journal had received information from anonymous sources who said that General Flynn and his son Michael were involved in a plot to kidnap Muslim cleric and return him to Turkey.
The Wall Street Journal reported
Special Counsel Robert Mueller is investigating former White House national security adviser Mike Flynns alleged role in a plan to forcibly remove a Muslim cleric living in the U.S. and deliver him to Turkey in return for millions of dollars, according to people familiar with the investigation.
(Of course in the aftermath of Obama it is now customary and expected for FBI, DOJ and other government officials to leak true and false stories to the left wing media as long as they attack or discredit President Trump or anyone who voted for him. These corrupt and criminal leaks will never be investigated or addressed in court with the Deep State in charge of the US government.)
Regardless, the story may have been placed with the WSJ to entice General Flynn to later plead guilty to lying to the FBI. Of course, what Flynn supposedly lied about has never been leaked through the mainstream liberal media.
But based on a report at Neonrevolt, there is much more to this story.
In November 2017,
The primary bone of contention between the U.S. and Turkey is Fethullah Gülen, a shady Islamic mullah residing in Pennsylvania whom former President Clinton once called his friend in a well circulated video.
Flynn then shared a video of President Clinton claiming that the shady mullah is a friend of the US

In February 2016, Manafort approached Donald Trump through a mutual friend, Thomas J. Barrack Jr.
He pointed out his experience advising presidential campaigns in the United States and around the world, described himself as an outsider not connected to the Washington establishment, and offered to work without salary.[49]
In March 2016, he joined Trumps presidential campaign...
In August 2016, Manaforts connections to former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and his pro-Russian Party of Regions drew national attention in the US, where it was reported that Manafort may have received $12.7 million in off-the-books funds from the Party of Regions.[56]
On August 17, 2016, Donald Trump received his first security briefing.[57]
The same day, August 17, Trump shook up his campaign organization in a way that appeared to minimize Manaforts role.
It was reported that members of Trumps family, particularly Jared Kushner who had originally been a strong backer of Manafort, had become uneasy about his Russian connections and suspected that he had not been forthright about them.[58]
Manafort stated in an internal staff memorandum that he would remain the campaign chairman and chief strategist, providing the big-picture, long-range campaign vision.[59]
However, two days later, Trump announced his acceptance of Manaforts resignation from the campaign after Steve Bannon and Kellyanne Conway took on senior leadership roles within that campaign.[60][61]

Thomas J. Barrack Jr
-snip-
He [Thomas J. Barrack] denies a quote attributed to him in the 2018 book Fire and Fury that he said Trump was, not only crazy but stupid.[38]
In a 2017 Washington Post article, Barrack commented on Trumps inflammatory rhetoric and proposals to ban immigrants from certain Muslim countries and put up a border wall with Mexico. Hes better than this, he said.[39]
Barrack was interviewed during the Special Counsel investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, in particular regarding Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, Konstantin Kilimnik, Cambridge Analytica, the Trump campaign, the Trump transition team, and the financing of the Trump inauguration.[40][41]

White House Daily Briefing
The issue here was that the President got to the point where General Flynns relationship misleading the Vice President and others, or the possibility that he had forgotten critical details of this important conversation had created a critical mass and an unsustainable situation.
Thats why the President decided to ask for his resignation, and he got it.
The irony of this entire situation is that the President has been incredibly tough on Russia.
He continues to raise the issue of Crimea, which the previous [Obama-Biden-Hillary] administration had allowed to be seized by Russia.

"It was December 10 [2016], and Vladimir Putin was the guest of honor at RTs 10th anniversary dinner, at Moscows Metropol Hotel in the shadow of the Kremlin. ...
Seated next to Simonyan at the dinner and just two seats away from Putin himself was perhaps the most intriguing example of how the Russians have gone about recruiting disaffected members of that establishment: a rugged-looking man in a tuxedo who less than 18 months earlier had been head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Pentagons powerful in-house equivalent of the CIA.
Michael Flynn, now a private citizen after a reportedly disgruntled retirement, was not there to gather intelligence.
His attendance at the RT [Russia Today] gala, before which he also gave a talk on world affairs, appeared to inaugurate a relationship with the networkpresumably a paid one, though neither Flynn nor RT answered queries on the subject.
Flynn now makes semi-regular appearances on RT as an analyst, in which he often argues that the U.S. and Russia should be working more closely together on issues like fighting ISIL and ending Syrias civil war.
Russia has its own national security strategy, and we have to respect that, he said in one recent appearance.
And we have to try to figure out: How do we combine the United States national security strategy along with Russias national security strategy, despite all the challenges that we face...

"On December 10, 2015, Flynn attended a gala dinner in Moscow in honor of RT (formerly "Russia Today"), a Russian government-owned English-language media outlet, on which he made semi-regular appearances as an analyst after he retired from U.S. government service.[60]
Flynn sat next to Russian President Vladimir Putin at the dinner, leading Journalist Michael Crowley of Politico to report that "at a moment of semi-hostility between the U.S. and Russia, the presence of such an important figure at Putin's table startled" U.S. officials.[61][62][38]
As part of the festivities, Flynn gave a talk on world affairs for which he was paid at least $45,000.[60] Flynn defended the RT payment in an interview with Michael Isikoff.[62]
A 2017 report by the United States Intelligence Community characterized RT as "The Kremlins principal international propaganda outlet" and said that RT America is set up as an autonomous nonprofit organization "to avoid the Foreign Agents Registration Act".[64][65]
As a retired military intelligence officer, Flynn was required to obtain prior permission from the Defense Department and the State Department before receiving any money from foreign governments. Flynn apparently did not seek that approval before the RT speech, and he did not report the payment when he applied for renewal of his security clearance two months later.[60] Glenn A. Fine, the acting Defense Department Inspector General, has confirmed he is investigating Flynn.[38]

Nunes: "He [Mueller] was so blatantly dishonest yesterday that he says, well, the Office of Legal Counsel says that you cant indict a sitting president.
Well, he should have been gone after day two.
He has no Russians, except for the Fusion and Clinton Russians, and possibly the dirty cop, the FBIs Russians, those are the only Russians that he has, to show connections to the Trump campaign.
Clearly, the Clinton operation is heavily working with Russians or Russian disinformation.
He didnt take time to look into any of that[!]

[Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Devin] Nunes said Clinton's campaign and the DNC "plainly colluded" with the Russians to receive and disseminate false information about Trump"
Newly released notes from an Oct. 11, 2016, meeting between Steele and former [Hillary-Obama] Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Kathleen Kavalec cast doubt on the reliability of his dossier and called into question the information provided to the court in the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act application that was submitted later that month against onetime Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
The notes, which Kavalec is believed to have emailed to the FBI in mid-October, indicate that Steele knew he had been hired by Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee and had been told they wanted his findings made public prior to the 2016 election on Nov. 8.
The Daily Caller reported the notes show Steele identified Russian sources, including former Russian foreign intelligence director Vyacheslav Trubnikov and Vladislav Surkov, an aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Nunes said Clinton's campaign and the DNC "plainly colluded" with the Russians to receive and disseminate false information about Trump.

Vladislav Yuryevich Surkov (born 21 September 1964)[1] is a Russian businessman and politician of Chechen descent.[2]
He was First Deputy Chief of the Russian Presidential Administration from 1999 to 2011, during which time he was widely seen as the main ideologist of the Kremlin who proposed and implemented the concept of sovereign democracy in Russia.
From December 2011 until May 2013 Surkov served as the Russian Federations Deputy Prime Minister.[3][4]
After his resignation, Surkov returned to the Presidential Executive Office and became a personal adviser of Vladimir Putin on relationships with Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Ukraine.[5]
Surkov is perceived by many to be a key figure with much power and influence in the administration of Vladimir Putin.[6][7][8]
According to The Moscow Times, this perception is not dependent on the official title Surkov might hold at any one time in the Putin government.[9]
BBC documentary filmmaker Adam Curtis credits Surkovs blend of theater and politics with keeping Putin, and Putins chosen successors, in power since 2000.[10]
Journalists in Russia and abroad have speculated that Surkov writes under the pseudonym Nathan Dubovitsky, although the Kremlin denies it.[11][12][13][14]

Very good comment. Myself, I see no way out of this, other than the break up of the nation. And even then, there has to be punishment and/or elimination of the corrupt ones, to prevent a re-infection in the remaining non-Communist states. There is no way to clear this sort of infection, other than fire.
Isn’t Gullen the fellow behind Muslims of America (MOA) the group that has at least 22 secretive camps throughout the US?
Many (me included) thought term limits were the answer, but the problem goes much deeper than who we elect even though that would help. The permanent staff, bureaucracy, and the revolving door is just as corrosive as the politicians we elect and more powerful. It has infected our entire society from K-12, the courts, your city council, state government, and federal government. It has infected everything in our culture and even our churches.
This cancer infecting our nation is widespread and we are the frog in a pot of boiling water. I pray for my children that it can be corrected, but fear you are correct and we have reached the point of irreconcilable differences.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen. - Samuel Adams
Another person who attended the RT dinner was VIPS’ Ray McGovern.
no... The imam behind MOA is a Pakistani named Gilani (Jilani)who is based in the Caribbean mostly.
Ray was seated at a nearby table...Ray was involved in the Nigerflap and Valerie Plame scandals. Doesn’t like Hillary but does have an affinity for Kerry.
Gilani ...of MOA and Jamaat ul Fuqra was a former official in the Communist Party of Pakistan, IIRC.
Kerry Promises to 'Immediately Evaluate' Extradition of Coup-Accused Scholar PJ Media ^ | July 17, 2017 | Bridget Johnson Secretary of State John Kerry said this morning that the Obama administration is "open" to considering the extradition of a Poconos scholar accused by the Turkish regime of being behind Friday's coup attempt. Kerry said on NBC's Meet the Press that the U.S. has asked President Recep Tayyip Erdogan not to become more authoritarian in response to the coup. Hurriyet Daily News reported that Erdogan has detained some 6,000 soldiers, judges and prosecutors in less than 48 hours. They're being charged with membership of an armed terrorist organization and attempting to overthrow the government of the Turkish Republic using force and violence...
And compare to Flynn's comments on Gulen.
There’s a ring of truth to this story...
Gilani, not Gullen.
Ok, I had the names confused.
Thank you for the correction.
Obama telling the Ruskies that he’d have “more flexibility” after the election is defacto case of Russian interference.
and collusion.
This needs to be widely published.
Ping to the dirty work of Obungo and his minions.
The Obama-Biden-Hillary admin helped Russia in many ways besides missile defense. See my FR Home page for lots more on this.
