Embattled Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn has hired well known defense attorney Sidney Powell to represent him before his sentencing hearing in Washington D.C.s federal court. Flynn, who fired his attorneys last week, will still fully cooperate with the government in all cases pending, Powell told SaraACarter.com.
Flynns former legal counsel Robert Kelner and Stephen Anthony offered no explanation for their abrupt dismissal telling SaraACarter.com they decline to comment.
Powell is the author of the New York Times best seller and tell-all book Licensed To Lie, which exposed the corruption within the justice system. The book is based on the case Powell won against prosecutor Andrew Weissmann, when he was deputy and later director of the Enron Task Force.
Weissmann served as Muellers second in command for the special counsel investigation into the Trump campaign, despite the fact that his tactics have been highly criticized by both judges and colleagues. He was called unscrupulous and has had several significant issues raised about how he operated during the Mueller inquiry into Trump campaign officials, including Flynn.
He prosecuted the accounting firm Arthur Andersen LLP, which ended in the collapse of the firm and 85,000 jobs lost world wide. Maureen Mahoney took the case to the Supreme Court, and Powell consulted. Mahoney overturned Weissmanns conviction and the decision was reversed unanimously by the court.
Powell has openly stated in columns and on cable networks that Weissmanns dirty tactics of withholding exculpatory evidence and threatening witnesses to garner prosecutions should have had him disbarred long ago.

The more time that passes, the more challenged Mueller becomes.
Let him twist in the wind
Flynns sentencing will be based on his 2017 guilty plea to special counsel Robert Muellers prosecutors for one count of lying to the FBI.
This whole thing stinks beyond belief. I don’t want Weissmann disbarred; I want his head on a pike.
Got that right.
He gets no sympathy from me.
This fiasco could have been ended in one week.
When he was first charged, he had to have asked what proof they had. They had no proof at all.
End of story...
He should have told his superiors that there was no justification for an investigation. The end.
Trump needs to pardon Flynn, then reinstate his commission, give him a 4th star and put him to work cleaning out SJWs in the military from top to bottom.
Go for it, General!
It’s a dangerous game, but they played Flynn dirty.
Mueller thought he could get away with his Eagle Scout ****
He underestimates Trump.
Comey Creeps me out
I hope this ends in Weissman and Mueller getting disbarred
I want them and their immediate families to suffer the same fate they imposed on others and their families.
I want their families to know exactly who is responsible for their fate.

The issue here was that the President got to the point where General Flynns relationship misleading the Vice President and others, or the possibility that he had forgotten critical details of this important conversation had created a critical mass and an unsustainable situation.
Thats why the President decided to ask for his resignation, and he got it.
The irony of this entire situation is that the President has been incredibly tough on Russia.
He continues to raise the issue of Crimea, which the previous [Obama-Biden-Hillary] administration had allowed to be seized by Russia.

"It was December 10 [2016], and Vladimir Putin was the guest of honor at RTs 10th anniversary dinner, at Moscows Metropol Hotel in the shadow of the Kremlin. ...
Seated next to Simonyan at the dinner and just two seats away from Putin himself was perhaps the most intriguing example of how the Russians have gone about recruiting disaffected members of that establishment: a rugged-looking man in a tuxedo who less than 18 months earlier had been head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Pentagons powerful in-house equivalent of the CIA.
Michael Flynn, now a private citizen after a reportedly disgruntled retirement, was not there to gather intelligence.
His attendance at the RT [Russia Today] gala, before which he also gave a talk on world affairs, appeared to inaugurate a relationship with the networkpresumably a paid one, though neither Flynn nor RT answered queries on the subject.
Flynn now makes semi-regular appearances on RT as an analyst, in which he often argues that the U.S. and Russia should be working more closely together on issues like fighting ISIL and ending Syrias civil war.
Russia has its own national security strategy, and we have to respect that, he said in one recent appearance.
And we have to try to figure out: How do we combine the United States national security strategy along with Russias national security strategy, despite all the challenges that we face...

"On December 10, 2015, Flynn attended a gala dinner in Moscow in honor of RT (formerly "Russia Today"), a Russian government-owned English-language media outlet, on which he made semi-regular appearances as an analyst after he retired from U.S. government service.[60]
Flynn sat next to Russian President Vladimir Putin at the dinner, leading Journalist Michael Crowley of Politico to report that "at a moment of semi-hostility between the U.S. and Russia, the presence of such an important figure at Putin's table startled" U.S. officials.[61][62][38]
As part of the festivities, Flynn gave a talk on world affairs for which he was paid at least $45,000.[60] Flynn defended the RT payment in an interview with Michael Isikoff.[62]
A 2017 report by the United States Intelligence Community characterized RT as "The Kremlins principal international propaganda outlet" and said that RT America is set up as an autonomous nonprofit organization "to avoid the Foreign Agents Registration Act".[64][65]
As a retired military intelligence officer, Flynn was required to obtain prior permission from the Defense Department and the State Department before receiving any money from foreign governments. Flynn apparently did not seek that approval before the RT speech, and he did not report the payment when he applied for renewal of his security clearance two months later.[60] Glenn A. Fine, the acting Defense Department Inspector General, has confirmed he is investigating Flynn.[38]

And then being hung by the neck until dead.
She is outstanding.
Everyone must see the famous interview of her by Mark Levin regarding the shyster lawyer Andrew Weissmann linked here:

Flynn's 24-day tenure as National Security Advisor was the shortest in the 63-year history of the office.[15]
Those communications he had with the Russian ambassador were subsequently leaked to the press.[120]
Commenting on Flynn's resignation, on February 14 White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer stated, "We got to a point not based on a legal issue, but based on a trust issue, where a level of trust between the President and General Flynn had eroded to the point where he felt he had to make a change ...
The issue here was that the President [Trump] got to the point where General Flynn's relationship misleading the Vice President and others, or the possibility that he had forgotten critical details of this important conversation had created a critical mass and an unsustainable situation.
That's why the President decided to ask for his resignation, and he got it."[121]
Yeah, I think you’re right. Nobody else would have had the fight in them to put up with what Trump has.
If you think about it, he had to face insurmountable hurdles all the time in his real estate empire.
I thought the guy’s executive experience would serve him well, and I may have undervalued it. He’s been amazing.
A lot of his critiques here forget what he has had to go through, or didn’t understand it.
