President Trump's tariffs against Mexico have been "indefinitely suspended," he was proud to report on Friday night. He explained that the two parties managed to reach some sort of agreement.

I am pleased to inform you that The United States of America has reached a signed agreement with Mexico. The Tariffs scheduled to be implemented by the U.S. on Monday, against Mexico, are hereby indefinitely suspended. Mexico, in turn, has agreed to take strong measures to....— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 8, 2019

....stem the tide of Migration through Mexico, and to our Southern Border. This is being done to greatly reduce, or eliminate, Illegal Immigration coming from Mexico and into the United States. Details of the agreement will be released shortly by the State Department. Thank you!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 8, 2019

Last week Trump threatened a 5 percent tariff on all goods imported from Mexico and was planning to enforce them on Monday unless the government agreed to help stem the tide of illegal immigration.

According to the new agreement, which is posted on the State Department website, Mexico will be deploying national guard troops throughout the country and to the border and will be "taking decisive action to dismantle human smuggling and trafficking organizations as well as their illicit financial and transportation networks." The two countries will also reportedly be working closely to follow Migrant Protection Protocols.

"This means that those crossing the U.S. Southern Border to seek asylum will be rapidly returned to Mexico where they may await the adjudication of their asylum claims," State explains. "In response, Mexico will authorize the entrance of all of those individuals for humanitarian reasons, in compliance with its international obligations, while they await the adjudication of their asylum claims. Mexico will also offer jobs, healthcare and education according to its principles."

I think the key words are ‘indefinitely suspended’

Our President stands strong and won’t abide shenanigans!

Sounds good on paper. Hopefully, Mexico will live up to its end of the bargain and not double-cross President Trump the way ‘RATS double-crossed President Reagan time after time.

Is Mexico pondering....”Maybe it would be cheaper to build a wall?” It’s got to be somewhere in their little brains.

Given the fact that the Mexican Government controls less than 20% of its own territory by their own admission, I don't put any credence into any "concessions" they made. We're going to be back here in 30 days or less because as someone else posted, our President doesn't put up with any shennanigans and isn't going to take kindly to the Mexican Government not doing jack.

They're all paid off by the drug lords who really control the country.......

Won’t work, big mistake. Now will the MSM and Fox report the numbers of invaders accurately in the future? Or will we be propagandized into a false belief this smoke and mirror plan worked?

Mexico Claims Some Migrant Caravan Funding Came from US, England (DNC vote buying scheme?)
breitbart.com ^ | 6/6/19 | ILDEFONSO ORTIZ AND BRANDON DARBY / fr Posted on 6/8/2019 by Liz

Mexican tax officials froze assets of 26 individuals and entities allegedly promoting Central American migrant caravans that moved thousands through Mexico to the US border. The funding allegedly came from the US, England, Africa, and Central America. Mexico’s Finance and Tax Secretariat (SHCP) announced the freezing of the accounts claiming the move resulted from an investigation by their Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF).

The operation tracked financial movements from October 2018 through current dates to determine the sources of funding for the migrant caravans. According to the statement, the UIF identified a group of individuals that made several questionable international financial transactions from the cities of Chiapas and Queretaro during the times that the migrant caravans were moving through those places. Mexican authorities followed the path of the caravans and the financial operations from Queretaro to the border cities of Tijuana, Nogales, Ciudad Juarez, Ciudad Acuna, Piedras Negras, and Reynosa; Mexican authorities were able to trace the source of the funds to the US, England, Cameroon, Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala.

Based on the result of the investigation, the UIF moved to freeze accounts in Mexico of 26 individuals and entities that are believed to have helped fund the migrant caravans or contributed to human smuggling organizations, the SHCP statement revealed. While authorities did not name the individuals or the entities whose assets they froze, they revealed that they would be filing complaints with Mexico’s AG’s Office for prosecution.

The action comes at a time when Mexican officials are meeting with US counterparts to keep the Trump administration from levying tariffs on international commerce as a punitive measure over the country’s lax approach to migration. The threat of tariffs has led to a series of posturing and threats from both sides, Breitbart News reported. (Excerpt) Read more at breitbart.com ...

….or all those illegals will end up somewhere in the Marianas or Bikini Atoll. I say we set up one huge trebuchet and suggest they not come unless they can swim REALLY well.

I have an SIL who prides herself on her Berniebro socialism. She moved to a place with Asians to the right and Hispanics to the left...in houses.

She’s moving again for health reasons.
