Capitalism generates wealth. Socialism steals the wealth and funnels the benefits over to the parasites who are ungrateful. The workers are unhappy that they are being ripped off and the parasites are always unhappy. The elites are looking down at the situation and wondering how to keep themselves in power while laughing at the workers and the parasites. The American political process in action.

Having lived abroad and traveled the planet some, and having worked a career with many, many folks from many, many backgrounds and with strongly held viewpoints, I would phrase my observations differently.

Liberal/progressive Americans are the most negative humans in our Fine Country; and, they predominate in areas such as media, education, and some high tech that deals w info dissemination.

I observed that these highly negative peeps generally associate with certain, internally-connected groups such as Marxists, liberals, Dems, progressives, anarchists, and show people.

Conversely, we conservatives just happen to be the most optimistic, genial, friendly, and happily centered folks that you will encounter (and we all know this as we all have experienced this.)

I have been through many cycles in this country. This one is decidedly different. Yes the economy is doing well but I don't not see the optimism and freedom that I saw in saw 1984 when Silicon Valley turned around. People are as a general rule just pissed off. Keep in mind that the average American doesn't give a hoot about politics.
