Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday he will be introducing a proposal to change U.S. asylum laws, saying the only way to stop the crisis at the southern border is to toughen up asylum standards... The chairman of the Judiciary Committee said lawmakers will mark up a bill once they return from recess later this month... he wants to alter the law to allow the unaccompanied minors to be returned to Central America.

For 2020, the ones up are, Flimsey Grahamnesty, Thom Tillis, Gardner, McSally, Daines, Collins, Cornyn, Capito, Enzi, Rounds, Sasse, Hyde-Smith, McConnell.
They all should have primary challengers.

I am still not buying Graham’s conservative actions.
Always, the closer he gets to reelection, the more conservative he becomes.
If he continues with this new conservatism after the 2020 election ...
Until then, we need to scrutinize everything he says/does regarding illegal immigration.

Hold families together, on retired military bases. They’re secure, they have living spaces, there are spaces for exercise and recreation, and you can hire someone to run the mess hall, creating a few more jobs.
All taht you wrote. Heavy tax on remittances. Money to be used for the wall.
Also:
Vastly increase the number of ICE agents, Border Patrol, and immigration magistrates.
Sharply increase the penalties for hiring illegals — to include jail time.
No welfare or other benefits for illegals.
All aliens must register.
No representation for illegal aliens.
Sanctuary cities banned and their officials arrested.
End birthright citizenship.
End chain migration. The chain extends ONLY as far as your immediate family: spouse and children.
There, I think we’ve come up with “comprehensive immigration reform.”
If you want to be ambitious, ‘et’s repeal Simpson-Mazzoli.
I like your idea of non-citizens registering. Given them 90 days to register or leave, thereafter they are subject to immediate arrest and deportation.

In the hundreds of postings here in Free Republic rarely is this brought up. It’s Known As Reciprocity. We treat anybody illegally crossing the Mexican border into the US the way the Mexican’s would treat any American illegally doing the same sneaking into Mexico.
The issue of sovereignty should not be allowed to get twisted into being propagandized as “White Nationalism”. Use of that term is usually directed when the immigration issue is brought up to devalue of the protections an American citizen have by being one.
When allowing the hordes illegally entering the US through the Mexican border and supporting the 2nd class treatment that American citizens get while legally residing in Mexico which of course also includes denial of voting privileges..
Today’s so called democrats insist Americans must allow illegals storm in here by the hundreds of thousands despite their cost to us citizens. Claiming benefits are cheap labor which winds up removing PT job opportunities for citizens including teenagers and full time work for blacks.
Then suddenly requiring billion$ more in tax dollars which is never enough diverted, by allowing an open borders policy .
Tax money that should be going to our citizens for their sustenance,health,education,and housing even infrastructure needs. But Americans must do the tax flagellating punishment because we’re the very rich United States and must divert those billion$ to fill the needs of those poor illegals plus give them the right to vote. Sustained by our tax money which our children’s children if not aborted will be paying for.
What never gets mentioned in all of this is the reciprocal treatment. If we applied that policy This invasion would never happen or at least be at manageable levels.
It’s time we consider illegal entry by any person who is a non Mexican citizen illegally entering the United States through the US Mexican border a defacto Mexican citizen with limited Mexican constitutional rights subject to their laws while transiting. As well as any Mexican citizen entering illegally but exempting those who do so legally and meet US citizenship requirements.
The rest subject to reciprocal citizen treatment a citizen of the United States receives in Mexico through the Mexican constitution on citizenship .Prohibiting any illegal entrant employment, voting, and land ownership privileges fully enforced .In other words Sneak into this country before being kicked out; No job, no voting, no landowning ..
