Campaigning for president in Iowa, Robert Francis "Beto" O'Rourke thinks farmers need to do their "fair share" to combat global warming, handing over some of their crops to save the Earth.
Kid you not. According to Breitbart News:
Democrat 2020 presidential candidate Robert "Beto" O'Rourke proposed Friday in Iowa that the U.S. "allow" farmers to give up their "fair share" of crops to fight climate change.
O'Rourke stood aloft as he proclaimed his message at a rally in Marshalltown, Iowa Friday:
If we allow farmers to earn a profit in what they grow, if we allow them to contribute their fair share in combatting Climate Change by growing cover crops, allowing the technologies that invest in precision tilling and farming, capturing more of that carbon out of the air is another way in which they can make a profit. Keep those farms together, pass them on to the next generation, and allow them to provide us our food and national security, our independence from the rest of the world, our ability to provide for the rest of the world.

If we allow farmers to (stay in business),...
.. (we will) allow them to provide us our food...
connect the dots.

If “Beat Down” O’Rourke really wants to combat AGW, maybe he and all the other Demo-rat “candidates” should just STFU! With all the CO2 they expend while blathering on and on (and on and on) about their “we’re progressives, not Marxists” ideas, it’s a wonder that the permafrost at the North Pole hasn’t melted!

One thinks that the problem might have to do with his use of the word “allow”.
Plus, those farmers in Iowa will recognize his talk as a modern iteration of Lysenkoism - a fake, fraudulent agricultural method promoted by a quack named Lysenko in the old USSR...

I think it’s time to start prosecuting the fearmongers.
Fraud!

That’s funny, so the farms become collective farms like the Soviet Union had, and failed

Mighty white of him to allow farmers to keep their profits.
Maybe this Beta male will think about farmers are ALREADY are fighting "Global Warming" by keeping their land in agricultural use and not converted into asphalt and concrete.
Maybe we should be paid for not turning it into another "asphalt jungle" and liberals only can paid this tax.
I like this idewal better.

So “cover crops” absorb more CO2 than corn? What a dope.

What this Beta Male is suggesting farmers are already doing. (precision tilling and farming)
But what he and AOC really want is cattlemen to put taxes on heads of cows to account for all that "free range methane" from cow belches. And feeding them seaweed ain't going to be feasible for cattlemen in Wyoming or Tennessee to ship in from the coasts.

Why don’t we all just eat shit in a bowl instead of food? No need for farmers then.

Well his policies certainly help (ethnically)cleanse a whole lot of the Soviet Union of Kulaks.

(The Magic Question: Who's paying for it?)
To: rktman
I live in Bozeman, MT.
15 years ago I was at a cocktail party...I met a ‘lawyer’ from Louisiana who had reciently moved here (careful — my family has a history of lawyers/judges in Montana for multiple generations, defendant attorneys) who told me that: “We are going to take down the ‘extractive industries’ and make them PAY for their abuse of the earth.”
I did mention that Montana is an oil/COAL state, and he responded immediately with: “IM NOT talking about fossil fuels! Farmers and ranchers are destroying the earth and they must be STOPPED!”
I mentioned, in passing: land ownership...property taxes...property rights...
His response was: “We’re going to TAKE this land and return it to it’s natural state!”
I declined to speak with him any longer.
Beto-butt-wadd seems to be of this nature.
