Thanks Kaslin. Prince Jughead acts once again like the a-hole that he is.

>>the British people would have abolished the monarchy.
********************************************************
I’m thinking about this. Many people think the monarchy is just ceremonial. But the Queen actually has a lot of power. It just goes under the radar to most of their subjects who don’t really pay too much attention.

All their government forces, judiciary, legislative, military, etc., have to swear their loyalties FIRST to the Queen AND her heirs. There is no justice system for their subjects, the laws are written and the verdicts are rendered with the approval and for the benefit of the Crown. People think they are citizens, when in reality, they are subjects. Talk about a huge hoax perpetrated upon the British people....

If the People wanted to disband the monarchy, how would they go about doing it? A referendum would have to have the approval of the government, which I can’t imagine them ever doing, since they all swore oaths to the Crown.

Yes, they did “flub up” and held a referendum on leaving the EU, (They never thought they would lose, lol), and we have observed them wriggling out of that for the past two years.

Years ago, when once asked which system of government she supported, socialism, communism, etc., the Queen responded that she was part of an oligarchy, which was above government systems.

I suspect if their Subjects really wanted to end the Monarchy, just as they want to leave the EU, they would have to do it by force.

Poor young woman. Understandably naive like so many of us have been at that age. She was smitten. And he had disdain for her because of it. He thought he was so much better than her. She would have been better off had her older sister taken to him. She was picked out by the royal establishment for her genes, virginity, and to be a brood mare. Now they’ve gone the other extreme and have Meghan Markle as part of the royal clan. They are all screwed up.

I get why peeps in the UK like the Queen, but Chuckie is a joke, and who knows about the next generation.

My plan for the UK, “soft Republicanism”, dethrone the Windors and replace them with a “Regent”, lets say a non-political person chosen by the Commons (pointless Lords go bye bye) for a term of 10 years or so.

Gets rids of the hereditary monarchy without having to change the constitutional structure or name of the country. The Regent would function much as the Governors-General of the former colonies do.

Look at England and the mess being escaping from the EU. Can you imagine them choosing n new regent every ten years?? One can’t help but suspect Great Britain is permanently not so great anymore. Their accomplishments in the arts and sciences in the Victorian Era have no equal. Unfortunately, the Empire it created and its inbred aristocracy are its undoing.

Used to be that a monarch would have to defend their throne, especially when they became lazy and corrupt. We need a figure, someone actually willing to stand up to the Windsors while they stand by as England falls to the Mohammadan and alien anti-Christ hordes.

Eh, forget "soft Republicanism", I don't see the point of replacing a useless, taxpayer funded, ceremonial Queen with a useless, useless, taxpayer funded, ceremonial "Regent". And given the current political climate of the UK, those goofballs in the House of Commons would probably elect an openly gay man or a Muslim as "Regent" so he can represent how "forward thinking' their country is to the rest of Europe and get the mainstream media to gush over it. The UK has some kind of weird fetish for doing that sort of thing, and you can't fix stupid.

I'd say abolish the monarchy outright and have a full Republic like they had in the 1600s after they beheaded Charles I, minus the whole "Lord Protector" Cromwell type figure. Most European countries have successfully switched from kingdom to republic. The exception is France, we could reverse the situation there and crown the Duke of Anjou as King Louis XX ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Alphonse,_Duke_of_Anjou ) it would be worth it if it meant getting rid of the awful French Presidents forever.
