Rep. Omar, who has faced backlash over her antisemitic remarks, was greeted with massive protests as she arrived at the event.
The speech started off in a pretty standard fashion, with the Congresswoman acknowledging that it has been a very hard week for Muslims given the tragedy in New Zealand and saying how thankful she is to be in California with the people in attendance who are fighting for justice, for equality, for the right for us to equally exist in this country.
Many people expect our community to feel like it needs to hide every time something happens but repeatedly we have shown them that we are not to be bullied, we are not to be threatened, we are not to be terrorized. We are strong and resilient and we will always show up to be ourselves because we know we have a right to a dignified existence and a dignified life, Rep. Omar said to applause.
The speech didnt stay uncontroversial for long, however, as she shifted to a more aggressive position.
Acknowledging the protesters outside, many of whom were expressing concern about her antisemitism, Rep. Omar said I know many of them drove miles to get here, spent a lot of energy, and resources, and money to purchase the signs that they have. But I dont think any of them realize that people like myself and many of the people in this room could care less about what they have to say because we know who we are and where we belong.
Rep. Omar turned back to New Zealand, saying that many of us know this isnt a one-off incident and that many Muslims were holding their breath and waiting for something like this to happen.
She then blamed Trump for the massacre carried out by an Australian man in New Zealand.
We all kind of knew that this was happening, but the reason I think that many of us knew that this was going to get worse is that we finally have a leader, a world leader in the White House, who publicly says Islam hates us. Who fuels hate against Muslims. Who thinks it is okay to speak about a faith and a whole community in a way that is dehumanizing, vilifying and doesnt understand, or at least makes us want to think that he doesnt understand, the consequences that his words might have. Some people, like me, know that he understands the consequences. He knows that there are people that he can influence to threaten our lives, to diminish our presence, but what we know and what Islam teaches us and what I always say, is that Love Trumps Hate.'
Addressing the ban immigration from terror hot spots, Rep. Omar repeatedly referred to it as a Muslim ban, despite the fact that it is not a ban on every, or even most, Muslim nations.
Speaking about the outrage over her remarks about Israel, Rep. Omar said that their faiths initial foundations were built by a prophet who was vilified and had stones thrown at him, so you know that when Ilhan is facing some controversy that is not something to be afraid of.
Rep. Omar went on to angrily explain how Muslims are expected to be good, get an education, raise their children, and not bother anyone. She lamented that they are expected to not make anyone uncomfortable but that even when they are the best neighbor people work on finding a way to not allow for every single civil liberty to be extended to us.
She then channeled her inner-Jeb Bush and whispered to the crowd that they can clap, which they obliged.
It doesnt matter how good you were if you cant have your prayer mat and take your 15 minute break to go pray in a country that was founded on religious liberty, Omar said to applause. It doesnt matter how good you are if you one day find yourself in a school where other religions are talked about, but when Islam is mentioned, we are only talking about terrorists and if you say something you are sent to the principals office.
So, to me, I say raise hell. Make people uncomfortable, Rep. Omar said to the excited audience. Because heres the truth, for far too long we have lived with the discomfort of being a second-class citizen and frankly I am tired of it, and every single Muslim in this country should be tired of it.
Rep. Omar urged the crowd to confront people if someone looks at them strangely. She explained that people are less hateful once they meet someone.
Approximately 17 and a half minutes into the speech, Rep. Omar addressed why she is so focused on Israel though she did not say the nations name. She said that when she is having a conversation and someone asks her why she keeps talking about this particular country and not other countries, she said her choice of a country to talk about is not my preference of country. It is based on what country is violating basic human rights.
The speech received a standing ovation from the crowd.
Omar shared the stage at the event with Hassan Shibly, the executive director of CAIR Florida, who believes that Hezbollah and Hamas are not terrorist organizations and despises gay people.
The director of CAIR-Los Angeles, Hussam Ayloush, previously suggested that the US is partly responsible for the San Bernardino terrorist attacks. This seems to be a sentiment Rep. Omar could relate to, as she previously made excuses for a 2013 terrorist attack, claiming the incident which left 71 people dead and over 200 wounded was a reaction to our involvement in other peoples affairs.
Additionally, as a Minnesota state representative, Omar asked a judge to show leniency for a group of men who were convicted of trying to join ISIS.
The best deterrent to fanaticism is a system of compassion, Omar wrote in a letter to the judge presiding over the case. We must alter our attitude and approach; if we truly want to effect change, we should refocus our efforts on inclusion and rehabilitation.
One of the men she had asked for compassion for had told the judge, I was not going there to pass out medical kits or food. I was going strictly to fight and kill on behalf of the Islamic State.
CAIR has been named as unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorist financing case in U.S. history.
Rep. Omar has conveniently called for Immigration and Customs Enforcement as well as the Department of Homeland Security to be defunded.
Maybe to see how to raise hell she should go there first to make sure of her facts.
many of the people in this room could care less about what they have to say because we know who we are and where we belong....
Straight back to HELL where most muzzies belong.
And trust us on putting you there if you look for violent trouble.
BTW, idiot, COULD CARE LESS means that you care somewhat.
Learn to use the language.
Better yet, just go away, mad or not, just go away.
islam’s very existence makes me uncomfortable.
I would recommend they NOT get in my face.

She is not a representative of Minnesota. She is from a sh!thole country called Cedar/Riverside in Minneapolistan.
I go through there everyday. They should fence it off and require a passport for entry.
Darn shame if any rioters got shot whilst rioting, a darn shame.
Actually, no, it wouldn’t be. Best thing we ordinary citizens can do is shoot rioters AS THEY ARE RIOTING and while they actively (in our faces) threatening us, our stuff and our neighborhoods.
Puts the kibosh on others wanting to riot in the future too.
Americans, remember, all the safeguards that protect Americans security are being read by these Islamic terrorists.
DEMOCRATS FALL DEEPER INTO ISLAM'S "WE HATE-AMERICA" PIT.
Kudos to Gateway Pundit and Cassandra Fairbanks. It was a brave and dangerous thing to do to infiltrate the speech of this terrorist democrat. After reading what omar said I can see why she does not want people to know. She needs to be arrested and charged with treason and sedition.
I thought martyrdom was the the highest honor for a Muslim.
Facts don’t matter to either Leftist or Jihadist ... they’ve got rhetoric on their side.
The rag-headed creep has an agenda no one could ever imagine.
Omar has been very busy-----setting up her world-wide terrorist connections.
Here she is, just a few weeks after her election to Minnesota's state legislature.
The sap-happy Omar is chatting up then-Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, a favorite for re-election.
He reportedly invited her---a state legislator--- to appear beside him prior to the Somali election taking place.
The Minn legislator Endorsed Somalias New President. Four Days Later, Omars BIL Had a Powerful Job in the Somali Administration.
What was the deal she made with the corrupt-ridden Somali govt? Are the violent Somalians she once fled,
privy to US security reports from Omar's current position on the House Foreign Affairs Committee? Duh.
==================================
A foray into foreign politics, should have disqualified her from getting US security clearance.
How did she get US security clearance in Congress? Did she falsify govt documents? ////
Free Beacon Report Ilhan Omar Holding Secret Fundraisers With Groups Tied To Islamic Terror
Brand new report just published by Free Beacon 90 minutes ago
Posted by Kane on March 22, 2019
Free Beacon Report----Democratic freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (Democrat--Minn.) has been holding a series of secret fundraisers with groups that have been tied to the support of terrorism, appearances that have been closed to the press and hidden from public view. The content of these speeches, given to predominately Muslim audiences, remains unknown, prompting some of Omars critics to express concern about the type of rhetoric she is using before these paying audiences, particularly in light of the lawmakers repeated use of anti-Semitic tropes in public.
Omar recently spoke in Florida at a private event hosted by Islamic Relief, a charity organization long said to have deep ties to groups that advocate terrorism against Israel. Over the weekend, she will appear at another private event in California that is hosted by CAIR PAC, a political action committee affiliated with the Council on American Islamic Relations, a group that was named co-conspirator in a massive terror-funding incident.
Omars appearance at these closed-door forums is raising eyebrows due to her repeated and unapologetic public use of anti-Semitic stereotypes accusing Jewish people of controlling foreign policy and politics. With Omars popularity skyrocketing on the anti-Israel left, it appears her rhetoric is translating into fundraising prowess.
It remains unclear what Omar has told these audiences in her private talks. Free Beacon attempts to obtain video of past events were unsuccessful, and multiple local news and television outlets in Tampa where Omar spoke to Islamic Relief last month, confirmed they were unable to gain access to the closed door event. Islamic Relief has come under congressional investigation for what lawmakers have described as its efforts to provide assistance to terrorist group such as Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. The charity has been banned by some countries as a result of these ties.
In 2017, Congress sought to ban taxpayer funds from reaching the charity due to these terror links.
On Sunday, Omar will hold another meet and greet in Irvine, Calif., for CAIR PAC. Those wishing to hear Omar speak are being asked to donate anywhere from $50 to $250 dollars, according to a flyer for the event. The CAIR event also appears closed to the press.
CAIR, a Muslim advocacy group known for its anti-Israel positions, was named by the U.S. government as part of a large network of groups known to be supporting Hamas. CAIR has been cited by the Anti-Defamation League, or ADL, for using its network of supporters to promote an anti-Israel agenda. CAIRs anti-Israel agenda dates back to its founding by leaders of the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), a Hamas affiliated anti-Semitic propaganda organization, according to the ADL. While CAIR has denounced specific acts of terrorism in the U.S. and abroad, for many years it refused to unequivocally condemn Palestinian terror organizations and Hezbollah by name, which the U.S. and international community have condemned and isolated.
I just wonder what is Rep. Omar saying to a group of Islamic supporters that she feels is so secretive that she cannot say it to the American people, as a whole? Stern wondered. What is so secretive that it has to be off the record and closed to reporters? Will she say the same things in public to her Jewish voters in Minnesota that she says to her Islamic friends? What does this tell us about her openness, her honesty and her integrity?
One veteran Republican political operative expressed concern about the secretive nature of these talks, telling the Free Beacon that Democrats must hide behind-closed-doors to appease these groups with anti-Israel rhetoric. Of course shes holding these meetings in secret. Thats just how Democrats roll these days, the source said. Theyre for limiting your ability to spend money on the candidates you want to support, and for secretly fundraising from Islamist groups who support them. It really puts their support for campaign finance reform into perspective.
Rep. Omars presence as a keynote speaker to raise funds for Islamic Relief USA, whose parent organization and chapters have documented ties to terrorist organizations, demonstrates that she has learned next to nothing over the last few weeks when she was reprimanded by your office and by other Democrats for posting ugly, anti-Semitic attacks on Jews and their organizations, the pro-Israel groups wrote in a letter send to House Foreign Affairs Committee chair Elliott Engel (D., N.Y.) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.).

When Omar met Erdogan: The unearthed report from their 2017 meeting
The Conservative Review ^ | March 19, 2019 | Jordan Schachtel / FR Posted by JOHN ADAMS
About a year and a half ago, on Sept. 18, 2017, a relatively unknown Minnesota state representative flew to New York City to hold a closed-door meeting with the president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who was in town for the 72nd U.N. General Assembly. This meeting of now-Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., with Mr. Erdogan, the despotic ruler of Turkey, went almost entirely unreported, as it was not open to the press and Omar was not a high-profile figure. Since then, photos of the meeting surfaced on social media, but it largely appeared that there was no report detailing what happened during the hour-long meeting. But one local Minnesota paper that covers the Somali community did receive access to the Erdogan-Omar meeting.
That publication is the relatively obscure Tusmo Times, a Somali paper that covers the Twin Cities metro area. Abdirahman Mukhtar, its founder and editor, wrote a story in the Somali language discussing the meeting. For reasons unknown, the piece has since been deleted by the Tusmo Times. However, a copy of the report was obtained from archive.orgs Wayback Machine and translated by One Hour Translate.
inciting a riot is a crime
Harboring muzzies in our country is at our own peril.
Yeah 0bammy said the same thing. Then he went further when he said the famous “bring a gun to a knife fight. ..”
She says she is a second class citizen but her Islamic lawfare and individual liberty and the US Constitution are incompatible . Its improbable she would have this level of power and influence in her birth nation. Only a place like the USA or other western nation that allows freedom is a place were she could be where she is and what here handlers want. She is allowing herself to be used as a wedge to make allowances/gloss over the darkside of Islam and be able to create Islamic zones of control. Islam does not play at all with other philsophies or religions once in control.
Friggin’ ‘RAT “refugee”. Wake up America! Please wake up!
One of my favorite movies.
