Ahead of the 2020 presidential election, President Trump is abandoning his prior America First legal immigration reforms to support increases of legal immigration levels in order to expand profits for businesses and corporations.
For the fourth time in about a month, Trump suggested increasing legal immigration levels. With Apple CEO Tim Cook sitting next to him at the White House on Wednesday, Trump said he not only wanted more legal immigration but that companies needed an expansion of new arrivals to grow their business.
Were going to have a lot of people coming into the country. We want a lot of people coming in. And we need it, Trump said:

Trump has never said he doesn’t want immigrants (whether or not you agree with that position). He said people need to come in who fill a need (merit based immigration). He doesn’t have the votes for that. He also said he wants to stop all the illegals by putting up a wall and ending catch and release. Trump is doing what he can but you all elected a bunch of people who don’t want to do anything Trump was elected on. If you don’t like what’s going on Trump is the absolute wrong target.
Yes you’re a legend in your own mind
You are crap. Trump has fought everyone for a wall. You just have a hard time when you have such a strong economy and everyone else has a weak economy. They come here every way they can. Trump is like a great quarterback on a bad team. He needs some players around him.
You’re wasting you time with the never trumper trolls
The estimate right now is there are roughly 7 million unfilled jobs in the US. Someone has to fill those slots. I’m all for America and Americans first, but it seems to me that if you want to work, you’re working right now. So as long as all Americans who want to be employed are employed, we should let good folks in here to take those jobs.
At this point it's a do or die situation to recover the nation. If the up and coming generations don't get on board on right-conservatism it's a done deal.
He is losing me. Where is Steve Bannon?

Good! Maybe you and FR’s other Never Trumpers will quit posting your bull sh*t and find another forum to frequent!
As long as they come from an ethno-European country, Im good. But why doesnt he just offer tax credits for having children that increase the more you have?
Precisely.
Judges are all I care about. If the country is going down, judges will slow it down some. Trumps exceptional there so Im happy.
He wants Educated people not the Dem Dumb ones
No I didn’t, it’s an official measure. Try looking it up.
Either Trump is perfect, or you’re a never Trumper.
Enjoy your binary echo chamber of stupidity.
As long as Stephen Miller remains as Trumps advisor, I am not concerned.
Repblicans need to be constantly reminded that the solution to a labor shortage is to INCREASE wages. That is how market forces work.
I love Trump. He fights against more foes than any other POTUS. He is amazing. I did see a shift in his SOTU. He said he wanted more immigration than ever. He did truly not push for the wall until we lost the House. I can understand tactical reasons for his behavior. I want him to be re-elected. I’ll leave it at that.
The parallels with the fall of the Roman empire and the USA are uncanny. The Roman empire fell when citizenship meant nothing, no sense of nationalism, unbridled immigration, endless wars, devalued currency and an out of touch political class. We even have the equivalent of the Roman bread and circuses, welfare and the NFL.
Wages aren’t up enough to justify the need for more immigrants. Plus it’s not like illegal immigration has been massively reduced either. I’ll wait and see what Trump actually does over what he said though.
Your answer is found in the link at #39 of this thread. It is very informative. You should read it.
More importantly, recognize the barking misfits of today’s so-called journalist job slot occupiers are getting their orders daily to ‘steer’, ‘shape’, ‘push’ the anti-Trump narrative and that the article behind this thread is one of a dozen hurled into the daily circus of the mediasphere to make the Trump camp doubt themselves.
It seems for most Republicans wages can never be low enough.
