What Would a Hybrid Civil War Look Like?
Belmont Club / PJ Media ^ | MARCH 2, 2019 | Richard Fernandez

Posted on 03/04/2019 3:17:23 PM PST by Jack Black

Hardly a day goes by without the tempo of political hostility rising -- sometimes to the level of physical confrontation. Recently, "a man being sought for the assault of a conservative activist on the University of California, Berkeley campus [was] arrested."

There is less and less regret for incivility. Nobody says sorry anymore, they just retreat into a private reality where they are always right. The Washington Post, still reeling from misidentifying the victim and aggressor in a story about Covington Catholic High School students and activist Nathan Phillips, simply slapped itself on the wrist with an Editor's Note admitting it got its account wrong and declared it all square. That was better than YouTube, which allegedly deplatformed a retired Navy SEAL who debunked Nathan Phillips' claim that he was a Vietnam vet.

Petroleum is easily transported by ship. As far as electricity why would they have none?

Have you paid zero attention to who your enemy is?
Has it occurred to you at all that it might conceivably behoove you to read Bill Ayers’ book or at least a summary?

Do that, think about what part of the socialist plan has been openly stated, and then you will have your answer. In the words of the American terrorist who launched Obama’s presidential campaign.

You are painting with to broad of brush. Simmer down and think things thru. You win with brains not emotion.

Because the power lines would be cut en masse, and when they were more transformers than there are extant replacements for would blow.

Have you really reached the age you have and never even contemplated how fragile the electric infrastructure is?

do you honestly think that the perimeter guards will be vunerable?

Yes.

Even the most competent professionals protecting the upper echelon are vulnerable to "shoot and scoot" attacks. They plan and train to react appropriately. But unless they have a quick-reaction force in reserve, the perpetrators may get away clean.

And there aren't enough competent professionals to cover everybody.

Lesser ranked members of the elites will have a minimal security screen. They won't have reserve forces in multiple rings around them. They won't have drones or access to the real-time surveillance feeds. They will have part-time coverage at their offices during the week days.

The second and third-tier officials will be reasonably safe from attack while their guards are on duty. Their guards won't be safe at all. They will be targets.

You have asked a pertinent question.

My response is that there is Nebraska and then there is Nebraska and then Kansas and maybe even Colorado. There is Omaha and Kansas city then there is Nebraska and Kansas.

The leftist concentrations are in the cities. The cutoffs would be in the large metro areas. It’s very possible that neither Omaha nor KC would be affected. It’s also possible that any outage there would be swiftly corrected and saboteurs captured.

I personally do not believe those that go on defense in cities will have the wherewith all to leave and travel to selected targets in the vast red zone. Nebraska should be safe and that might well include Omaha as well

The damage will not be permanent. The blue areas have engineers too and they can get electric power generation going, Freepers are very static thinkers they think well if we do that then that is the way it is forever. Civil Wars a are fluid affairs and dynamic in every respect.

Perimeter guards are low-level GS employees who drive from home to work, and shop at WalMart.

Who mostly hate their incompetent and annoying bosses. The guy who was skipped over for promotion for purposes of political correctness or he sucked at his job etc. is going to eat popcorn if he has it. That will be the time all nature of scores will be settled.

If it is a serious civil war, the elites and powerful will either be gone or bunkered with the help.

"Dire warning..."

I always believed that graffiti on the walls of privately owned buildings were the first sign of a decaying society..
It shows a lack of respect for your fellow man, your neighbor and his property..

There are other factors besides quantities of food delivered by sea. Those factors are time and availability.

In my mind, we are speaking of processed food shortage rather than bulk commodities. There is a purchasing process that requires time to first determine what is needed and then where to place orders and then purchase and wait on sea delivery.

Time is the killer. Supplies will run low before there is replenishment by sea.

My belief is that the cities will tear themselves apart with riots and looting before resupply can take place. Although Nancy and her minions control the politics, once there is a breakdown of the status quo, the cities will come apart internally. Nancy does not have the ability to provide the necessary cohesion.

It boils down to fear and insecurity. The cities cannot exist when the fear and insecurity sets in

The unknowns in my mind are at least two. What role will the military play and will the rioters be able to extend their efforts after burning the cities.

This all is a very interesting mental exercise for which there are numerous outcomes

"If it is a serious civil war, the elites and powerful will either be gone or bunkered with the help."

Which is why they won't let us have our civil war. If the shooting were ever to get started the outcome could not be assured and they have no reason to take that risk.

If it looks like things might get dicey they will simply dial back the pressure on a few friction points and throw us a few bones until things settle back down. We've been on the slow train to their new world order for a long time and they are not going to let anything like open warfare knock us off that track.
