Gucci has apologized after complaints that a wool sweater with an oversized collar designed to cover the face resembled blackface makeup, and said the item had been pulled from its online and physical stores.
It was the latest case of a fashion house having to apologize for cultural or racial insensitivity — and further evidence that Italy in particular has a wretched record with racial insensitivity staining everything from fashion to soccer to politics.

I realize that all politicians are scum, but looking at the scum scale, this sudden breakout of blackface made me realize that the dems are spiking the ball in the scum bag department:
First up, we have Larry, Moe and Curly in VA The first two caught wearing black face and/or a clan hood and one actual black who is the latest #MeTo superstar. One wearing the black face just recently won the Governorship by accusing his opponent of being a “white nationalist.” Uhhhh, what? The Lt. Gov being accused by a professor of brutally sexually assaulting of her. But in this case she isn’t to be believed. Oh no, she is a lying slut. The irony is just too much. Maybe if she shows up on the Hill to testify looking disheveled and sounding like my daughter she will get some traction?
A clown set in Minnesota wherein the former head of the DNC is accused of rape yet is elected overwhelmingly to be the State AG. Undt a Hamas terrorist who has wiped Israel off the map, literally off the map, in her office.
Then, we have Massachusetts. Ah yes, Elizabeth Warren. Who needs black face when you can publish a Cherokee cookbook and list yourself as Native American on your state bar app. They say now she is DQ’d from being President. Really?!?! If any of us pulled that crap on a job app, College app, or resume, we’d be fired, from ANY job. She gets to continue as Senator.
Meanwhile in CT, Dick Blumenthal is vividly recalling his days of serving in Nam, which he never did much less serve anywhere. No blackface, but come now, a Dick like Blumenthal has to have that pic buried somewhere.
Then, there is #MeTo champ Kamala Harris, who as it turns out had an affair with much older, married Willie Brown, in order to further her career. But those details are off limits according to the WaPo (unless Kamala needs to claim #MeTo status in which case they are all on the table).
In NJ we have the Joker look alike, Jack Nicholson’s version, Phil Murphy who knew damn well a high ranking member of his campaign raped another member of said campaign. But he buried it almost as much as the NJ press is. Nah, causing traffic on a bridge where there was already traffic was a much bigger deal than something trivial like rape.
And down in the Lone Star State they are, sadly, not exempt. Yes, we have stupid down there (Shelia Jackson Lee) but stupid isn’t corrupt or AOC would be in jail. What we are presented with is Robert Francis O’Rourke aka “Beto.” That Latino sensation all the way from Dublin. Ole Robert Francis who liked to drive drunk and run away from accidents that he claimed he never did run from. That guy, who claims somehow, bejesus to be Latino.
Honorable mention to all the VA dems who knew about the allegations against the Black Lt. Gov for years and, yet, stood against the Kavanaugh guy screaming “I believe the survivor!!”
Oh and let’s raise a cup to all the dems who gave loving tribute to Robert Byrd not that long ago after he passed on to that big “White’s Only” palace in the sky. Hey, at least he didn’t wear a hood as a Halloween prop. Oh no, he was authentic, not like this bunch of wannabes.
In closing let me say this, I must have been totally out of the loop growing up. I missed the whole “hip to wear blackface” thing. In my day it was listen to Rum DMZ or Snoop, spout some ghetto occasionally and move on. Who knew?
