BREAKING Ryan says Trump wont sign Senate passed CR: He will not sign this bill
If you’re doing what I think you’re doing, Mr President, give it a twist from me.
A lot of the “concerned” were “concerned” on various threads. I wonder why people don’t just wait.
...................................................
Maybe it was these so called ‘concerned’ people that got Trump to cave on his cave.
I don’t want a pass I’m proud of adding my voice to those who let the White House know that it could not survive signing the continuing resolution without border security.
But we all wanted the same result so let’s all be happy.
“Is this a pocket veto?”
President Trump must sign a bill to make it law. He will not sign the Senate continuing resolution bill into February.
The House could pass it but he won’t so, no law and no, veto not necessary at this point. The House is likely going to sit around on their thumbs for a spell doing nothing.
Let the drama live!
“Now we shall see if the GOPe shows their true colors and overrides his veto.”
They don’t have the votes in the House or Senate to override this veto.
It would be political suicide for any Republican to vote Yes on such an override.
Gay Ran Teed.
Good
Why didnt Ryan take his illegals loving ass home last year
What a joke
Im sympathetic to the illegals cause they are fellow Catholics
Paraphrased but fact is Ryan is a libtard Catholic and that governs him
Looks like it to me. A pocket veto is one where the signing of the bill into law is postponed until it’s too late to be dealt with in the current legislative session. It’s held “in the pocket” as it were.
For a pocket veto, there must be a bill on the Presidents desk. Then rather than signing it, he folds it up and puts in his pocket and acts as if nothing happened.
MAGA x 10,000 x PepeTheFrog squared.
This is what is missed by all the folks on FR that freaked out because people were calling Trump on this. If we don’t speak up, bad things might happen—trial balloons work. If there is one thing about Trump, he can be wobbly and go with the last person he speaks with. The collective scream of Americans, his supporters, saying No! works. None of us are Kool-Aid drinkers or lemmings. Robust discussion, criticism, saying No! is okay and very, very necessary. Cheers to all of us that Trump appears to have heard us!
Women and children hardest hit!
The go fund me statement is at work here...
I am sorry but I think this was the plan all along. And yes hearing from all of us was probably what he was hoping for.
He did not disappoint and neither did we...LOL

It was a trial balloon. “Just waiting” would have gotten us exactly nothing except a gift wrapped CR for Nazi Pelosi.
Every single one. I would.
ABC News:
House Speaker Paul Ryan emerged from a last-minute White House meeting Thursday between President Donald Trump and House Republicans to say that the president told them he will refuse to sign a stopgap funding bill as it’s currently written — a measure that would avert a shutdown before a Friday midnight deadline.
Ryan told reporters that he and other GOP leaders were going back inside to try to add more on border security to the legislation.
Trump had called the meeting on short notice amid criticism that he was “softening” on a key campaign promise.
Trump plays with the heads of liberal democrats...Don’t get caught up with them...How many times in the past two years have some people in here said, “Oh no!!!” and after a while, found that what Trump said or did was the correct thing?...
Many times.....
A “pocket veto” is when the Pres simply ignores the bill. It sits in his in-basket until the time period for signature runs out, or the legislative session closes, killing the bill.
