Former Green Beret Charged In The Death Of Suspected Taliban Bomb Maker.
Fox News ^ | December 14, 2018 | Greg Norman

A former Green Beret who told Fox News in 2016 that he killed a suspected Taliban bomb maker nearly a decade ago during combat operations in Afghanistan is now being charged in the man’s death -- a move his lawyer says is an act of betrayal by the Army.

The murder charge facing Maj. Matthew Golsteyn comes after years of on-and-off investigations by the Army following an incident said to have taken place during his 2010 deployment. A military tribunal that probed the killing years ago initially cleared Golsteyn -- but the investigation into him was re-opened after he spoke to Fox News' Bret Baier.

What I’d like to know in all these wretched cases is who the hell is snitching and making murder allegations from the fog of war? It’s almost like there are Obama lawyers embedded with the troops whose sole job is to nit pick and conjure up prosecutions. Army leadership allows this? Who the hell would join anymore?

“... I’ve read his food is laden with rat feces and the temperatures in the cell go from hot to cold. The military appears to be torturing this Hero.”

This part seems like Internet BS! Hurts the credibility of the rest of the story.

The military is infected with zampolits, both in uniform and out- especially lawyers, who are bloodthirsty for adding notches to their gunbelts.

“”Pardon him and then reassign those responsible to patrol the Diomede Islands in case of a Russian invasion.””

Don’t even know where that is but sounds good to me...if that doesn’t work - the Mojave Desert will suffice - no food or water - they’re on their own.. OR HOW ABOUT dropping them in the AFGHAN desert and letting them fend for themselves without weapons of any kind!!!

The President should grant clemency right now.

I believe he will when he hears of this travesty. NONE of our boys should be held accountable for killing the vermin that will surely kill them.

This is treating the military like civilian law enforcement.

We don’t even charge the cops with crimes. Cop goes “I felt threatened” and free they go. Therefore we are treating our warriors way worse. We should celebrate the excellence of our all volunteer military.

Thank you Major Golsteyn. I apologize for our weak and politically corrupt leaders.

It’s almost like there are Obama lawyers embedded with the troops whose sole job is to nit pick and conjure up prosecutions.

There are/were indeed Obama-type political lawyers embedded in-theatre. At the same time, there are those assigned real-time to drone facilities in the U.S. who may be located off-site.

There are a few essential questions: "Do we win the war, win their hearts, win their hearts only after we win the war, or try to win their hearts as we kill them?

Clearly, those are distinctly separate objectives each utilizing unique approaches, but we leave it to politicians who may have different motivations and goals and no military experience to decide.

That brings us to what is likely the most important question, "Are we justified in risking the lives of our military personnel during periods of our non-decision or confusion?"

Gallagher is accused of stabbing to death a prisoner who had just been stabilized by another medic, randomly shooting noncombatants, and threatening soldiers who were witnesses.

Golsteyn is accused of killing and disposing of the body of a person who he was to take home, after that person was released from custody.

Whether or not they are guilty or the military prosecutors are making things up I don't know, however these charges have nothing to do with politicized rules of engagement.

More Bizarro world action. Up is down. Good is evil. War is peace, Freedom is slavery, Ignorance is strength.

I have the same questions many of you have. I made the mistake of not including the entire message that is from my dear friend Beverly Perlson, founder of The Band Of Mothers.
I plan to make calls and hope you all will too. Also please share this thread with as many as you can. Thanks!

Here is the rest of Bev's message:

Folks, please pick up your phones on Monday and ring your Congressmen and Senators and fight for Chief Gallagher and Maj. Goldsteyn. I’m afraid they are about to be the latest casualties of a schizophrenic military injustice system that, in my opinion, should itself be put on trial.
Please, please, please, fight for these brave Americans. They need your voices now more than ever. Please make calls, or you can send an email to the White House.
https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/
Please remind your Congressmen and Senators that they enjoy freedom and safety everyday, courtesy of brave Americans who are willing to die to provide that freedom to them!
Thank You, and please know that YOUR VOICE can make the difference for these Heroes!
With A Mother’s Heart,
Beverly Perlson

Does he need a good, private attorney? Anyone here set up a fund to help him pay for one?

Wrong he wasn’t cleared. They could not prove until now the identity of the shooter. He was never cleared, in fact they revoked his Silver Star and recommended he be cashiered.

This was posted yesterday and the murderers story was largely debunked.
