The biosphere depends on earth’s magnetic field, but it has been decaying rapidly for at least 1500 years.
In Spacecraft Earth: A Guide for Passengers, Dr Henry Richter describes how the story of the decay of the earth’s magnetic field caught his attention. He had read the monograph by Dr Thomas Barnes in the 1970s, and realized the implications: if the decay is true, the earth could not be billions of years old. He considered the various proposals for maintaining the field, but none of them work, he concluded. If this is a well-known fact, what do secular geophysicists have to say about it?

The excuses for mass murder vary, but they usually come down as man not being sufficiently in awe of God.

Obviously. protecting the earth’s magnetic field falls in the same category as stopping climate change.
There ain’t jack we can do about either. Not by taxation, not by holding our collective breath until we turn blue, and darned sure not by passing more regulations.

And I betcha burning fossil fuels had absolutely zilch to do with it.

It goes in cycles, like most natural phenomena, like the weather, the climate, the temperature, etc.
Do “creation scientists” ever do any of their own original observations, measurements, or experiments?
I call it Anthropomorphic Climate change.............
What does this mean in practical terms? Like how could it affect common man? And iron filings?
Luckily for us it is at a solar activity minimum. Hence the blizzards in South Carolina.
But the ‘GoreBull worming’ crowd have blinders on.

That’s the climate change global warming cult gig... We can’t do anything about this stuff.... Oh well, to hell in a hand-basket we go and the good news... I guess since the earth is going down the toilet regardless, we really have absolutely no reason to pay those carbon taxes...
Are you paying attention Mr. Marcon, Mr. Trudeau and the US Democratic party? We don’t need no stinking carbon taxes.
In that case the bathroom scales should be showing me weighing less, but they are not. I am claiming using the scales as my objective instrument to measure the earth’s magnetic strength. I declare it is getting a wee bit stronger, doncha think?
I have a theory
The earths magnetic field comes from the fact that the core rotates at a different rate than the outer crust.
Why would it do that? There is no friction in space to make the outer core slow while the inner core spins faster...
So, what if an asteroid strike causes the outer core to shift, and then it springs back. Then oscillates back and forth until it slows, and eventually stops.
Like a swinging door does.
This would explain the shifting poles every 26,000 years (or so) and also some periods of mass die-offs, when the swinging stops at the top and bottom of each cycle.
There would be nothing to protect us from the solar wind during those times.
I am not sure how ‘elastic’ the molten core is.
