Isn't it interesting how they can't make the connection the $7,500 isn't magic money. It's taken from taxpayers.

Even with the $7500 subsidy, people don’t want them...................

GM apparently needs to follow the path of Pontiac.

The UAW running GM doesn’t care about the taxpayers footing that “credit” or whatever they’re calling it now.
Personally, they and GM can pound sand.

You don’t think we should be helping make a $60,000 car more affordable?

Give it to them ...in exchange for making the tax cuts permanent. Trump supposedly is the king of making deals, right? Or so they say.

I would have said trade it for the wall but there will be no wall.

Remember, it’s not that Trump dislikes it, it’s that we dislike it. Trump is just in the way.

Really frosts me.

With gas at $2 or less a gallon, good luck selling any EV’s. A few years back, I would have thought about it, when it was near $4, but now I sometimes find myself wishing I’d bought an SUV or muscle car. Maybe I will sometime in the future.

As it is, people (including me) don’t want golf carts, we want that good old-fashioned Tim Allen (grunt grunt) horsepower. And we’re not about to change our minds anytime soon.

Wealth redistribution.

It’s a crime that this scam was ever started and even worse that it has continued for so many years.

I hope President Trump knows better. If electric cars were feasible (same with solar panels and windmills), they wouldn't need subsidies.

Whatever happened to spending money on infrastructural?

If electric vehicles are so great then why do they need a taxpayer handout? If anyone wants one then let them pay for them. And let them pay to dispose of the toxic batteries every 3-5 years as well. Because that is how often they need to be replaced. And Electric vehicles use more energy in the long run as well.

So let me see if I have this right. GM wants to close it’s U.S. plants, put U.S. workers out on the street, move to China, and have us subsidize their cars. Is that about right? F GM.

No, no, NO. We, the taxpayers have already bailed GM out one time, and I’m not inclined to pony up for even more government largess for GM.

Also, who has convinced GM that electric vehicles “are the future”? They are NOT going to be that widespread in the foreseeable future.
