A neighborhood advisory panel in Washington that typically focuses on liquor license applications and other local concerns is inserting itself into the international furor prompted by the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi last month at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.
Advisory Neighborhood Commission 2A, as the Foggy Bottom panel is known, is expected to vote Wednesday to rename the street outside the Saudi Embassy for Khashoggi, a Washington Post contributing columnist who resided in Virginia.
Under the proposal, the east side of New Hampshire Avenue NW between F Street and Juarez Circle would become Jamal Khashoggi Way. The Watergate complex is on the west side of New Hampshire Avenue NW.
The measure would have to be approved by the D.C. Council and, as is the case with all local legislation, would be subject to congressional review.

Somehow, naming a street in DC after a known associate of the muslim brotherhood seems dumb to me.
Don’t these people know:
He was a HS BFF of Osama Bin Laden?
He was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, a terrorist support agency?
He was a supporter of Al Queda and ISIS?.............
OR they don’t care...............
That’s a really great idea.
Stick a thumb in the eye of one of our best allies in the war on terror, because they killed some jerk aligned with the muzzy brotherhood.
That’s what muzzys do, murder each other and others. I thought we were supposed to be culturally sensitive.
I’ve got a great idea, lets do what we did to The Shah and see what happens.
They don’t give a fig. They just want to get street cred for sticking it to POTUS.
Not only does WaPo dictate foreign policy now they want to name DC streets.
The stupidity of the American Left knows no bounds.
I hate people.....
Why let’s name it Muslim Brotherhood Blvd. for accuracy.
5.56mm
And what about others whose addresses are on that street? They will have to change all their stationery, business cards, vendors’ and customers’ contact info, and probably a lot of other stuff as well.
A local NAACP group here wanted to change the name of a major boulevard to MLK Boulevard, but the businesses all along the street were up in arms over it, so the county changed the name of a new road that didn’t have very many businesses on it yet....................

Why not rename the street Ernst Röhm St.? That was a bad guy killed by a bad guy as well .
Or ISIS Jihadi Way....................
These asshats need a big FU right back at them. This guy was not a journalist. He was not a good guy. He was muslum brotherhood. Pick your fights.
Wasn’t this jerk an MB activist?
Rename it World Trade Center Blvd
I am no fan of Hatred’s Kingdom, but this is just stupid.
Is this necessary? How does it promote anything?
That might be fine with the locals if the street were near Logan Circle.
