Dragging into its fourth week, all signs are on that the migrant caravan is falling apart.
According to the Associated Press:
ISLA, Mexico – A 4,000-strong caravan of Central American migrants traveling through Mexico split up into several groups with one spending the night in a town in the coastal state of Veracruz and other migrants continuing toward the country's capital.
The divisions came during a tense day in which tempers flared and some migrants argued with caravan organizers and criticized Mexican officials.
How did it happen? Obviously, someone promised them something for free and then didn't pay up. This is about what you'd expect when someone offers something for free, and then realizes that the whole thing is not going to pay off in the politically useful way he wanted.
Whether it was Venezuelan or Sorosian or Mexican, the free cash for a free ride to the border and all the free stuff of the U.S. just never materialized. That has raised questions about why the group should stay together instead of split apart. After all, anyone can apply for asylum to the states on his own. Applying in a 4,000-strong group pretty well means a long wait time.
A promised bus ride to Mexico City for thousands of migrants from Central America was the latest money that never materialized. Mexico's Veracruz governor, anxious to get the migrants out of his home state as soon as possible, promised them all free bus rides to Mexico City and then withdrew the offer, likely because Mexico City didn't want to take them. Federal authorities there warned the Veracruz governor he'd be charged with human-trafficking if his free bus rides rolled out to the Mexican capital. Obviously, Mexico City does not see itself as having much to gain politically from the big migrant caravan

yeah, hate to be the pessimist but it sounds like the various groups are up to as much as 12,000
California is one of the states that has taken the brunt of the illegal immigration, at one time CA was a GOP state (Nixon, Reagan etc) the Dems love this immigrationcuz it gets them more votes, the state has millions of illegals who eventually report, and for more freebies they vote 70% Dems. same thing is happening in other states so... unless we want the entire country going like CA we need more than just tough talk-if Trump can get the wall up then we will have a stop.
They were supposed to get here by Election Day. Not going to make it. And the “caravan”/invasion is a net plus for the GOP, hence the cutting off of funds and resources. Big bust.
If bammy were pres, or, horrors! hillary, they would have been here already, getting food stamps, trying out their bammy phones, and getting ready to vote tomorrow.
And it won't mean a thing...as most Americans, myself included, see "Shep" as a mincing, mascara-wearing, token homosexual, employed by Fox simply because he attracts those of like mind in the demographic.

Mexican authorities claim to have deported 1,100 Central Americans.
It’s not that the $$$ wasn’t there for the buses. The optics are bad and our Great President has lowered the boom on them. They deserve this.

A wall will cost much less to build than directing military assets to the border, repeatedly... forever.
We need to launch the “Just Stay Home” campaign for Mexicans and Central Americans: “Solo quédate en casa!”
I read a few days ago....cops were stopping trucks and buses which were hauling the caravan, and forcing them to walk.
I would suggest this...if you had to go and walk 35 to 45 miles a day....consecutively...along about the 7th to 10th day, your energy level and enthusiasm would start to shut down. If the Mexican cops would just continue to force the marchers to do the physical thing, this would end in a short fashion.

I am quite sure that the cartels are none too happy about these events. While they profit from alien smuggling and use the clutter of illegal immigration to help move their products, drugs are their big cash cow.
The US military on the border is something the cartels have been trying to avoid for decades. Which is why we have not seen the kind of violence on our side of the border as we see in Mexican border towns daily.
I would not be surprised if the cartels tell the "organizers" to stand down or face a dismemberment death.
