U.S. greenhouse gas emissions fell 2.7 percent from 2016 levels, according to the EPA. Emissions on a per-capita basis hit a 67-year low last year, federal data shows, and supporters are touting EPA’s data as proof Trump’s agenda is working. EPA’s new data comes on news that, globally, greenhouse gas emissions are set to rise to historic highs by the end of the year, despite nearly 200 countries signing the Paris climate accord.

Well, under Trump is pretty inclusive. Surely years and years of cleaning up our act contributed. But keeping on with the effort is a good thing. Historic highs of ghg's will be what? 0.025%? Or less? Scientists? Buehler?

Headline: “US CO2 Emissions Plummet Under Trump While The Rest Of The World Emits More”

First line of article: “U.S. greenhouse gas emissions fell 2.7 percent from 2016 levels, according to the EPA. ...”

~~~
Well? Which is it?
Real Greenhouse gas emissions, or CO2?
if you put CO2 right in the headline when you’re talking about greenhouse gas emissions, then you are intentionally misleading the science of green house gasses
Also, please feel free to reduce greenhouse gas emissions all you want, but I love plants and I want more CO2 for them.
Wait a dang minute here. The 2.7% of CO2’s 0.04% is approaching the warren native American threshold value is it not?
Yes, sure. But CO2 wasn’t never really the point. The goal was actually redistribution of wealth, and on that account Trump fails to satisfy.
CO2 is no more of a pollutant than O2 or H20. It is one of the key components necessary for life on earth.
Cut pollution - toxic gasses, particulates.
So increased natural gas production in the US via directional drilling and fracking is making the US production of CO2 to go down whim the rest of the world in the Paris Accord is going up. So who’s the bad guy?
I see from the story that the sanctimonious Germans and French are up 0.2 % and 0.1 % respectively. In fact, while the signatories of the Paris agreement are increasing emissions the notorious non-signatory is apparently the only major one in compliance, more precisely, quite a bit better than compliance. It isn’t even ironic, really, it’s just another piece of evidence that preening, self-congratulation, virtue signalling, and pious condemnation of others isn’t getting the job done, and that international conferences to which heads of state and negotiating teams travel in luxury jet aircraft are wasteful and useless.
Democrats will attribute the cleaner air to Obama’s policies, just like they do with the economy and foreign relations. Trump is only responsible for the hate and racism and riots, and all that’s went or is going bad, like the “badness” that overtook the Supreme Court with Trump’s two nominees. Let’s not forget “Horseface” Stormy, because without Trump winning the presidency, horseface would never have been heard from.
There is nothing unclean about creating CO2. CO2 is colorless order less gas that is primary nutrient for all plant life.
Perhaps the Germans and French should transfer some their wealth to us for investments in fracking, natural gas production, and pipelines...to reduce greenhouse gases of course.
