(CNN)Twenty-four hours after Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren shocked the political world with a five-minute video (and a mountain of documentation) aimed at putting to bed the controversy over her claims of Native American heritage, it's becoming increasingly clear the strategy amounts to a swing and a miss.
Warren's goal was to take the issue of her heritage off the table for nervous Democrats and to show that she was ready, willing and able to stand up to President Donald Trump if and when the time came that she was the party's nominee against him in 2020. The problem is that, when you strip away all of the glitz of her well-produced video, you are left with this: There's still no certainty that Warren is, in any meaningful way, Native American.
Yes, Stanford geneticist Carlos Bustamante tells Warren in the video that "the facts suggest that you absolutely have a Native American ancestor in your pedigree." But the estimates of just how much Native American blood Warren actually posses range from 1/64th to a whopping 1/1024th. Which, um, ain't a lot.

This has sure been a fun month!
The issue of her being an American Indian is off the table. She is clearly not an American Indian nor is she remotely related to an American Indian ancestor.
Man, when even CNN throws you under the bus - you have really blown it.
Of course she did. Democrats lie. It’s who they are. And then they get found out, and lie some more! ;)
If CNN is telling a Liberal that they screwed themselves? That ain’t FAKE NEWS...
Ok, pain, boom, boom boom....
Luvvin every minute of it!
translation: We here at CNN will be pushing Kamala Harris.
Elizabeth Warren HAS A TIN EAR... is that an Indian trait?
And Liberace *might* have been gay.
Its the Cherokee Nations statement that ruined her. They dont want her either
Fun month?
Fact is, that it’s highly likely that we haven’t seen nothing yet. It takes time for a cabinet to take power, for a President to hit full stride, momentum...
You toss in a red wave midterm and we might be seeing something unprecedented in modern US history. Fundamental change for our country, and a repudiation of progressive liberalism. Imagine that?
If by “made things worse” they mean that the Internet is experiencing a ridicule storm roughly the size of a major solar flare, then yeah, you might say that made things worse.
I really thought she was going to be able to bribe some tribal entity into claiming her.
How is it that Elizabeth Warren has no one with on ounce of sense in her staff? Democrats are all evil, but there are intelligent people who love power and control over others. She should have at least a few smart minions in a position to stop her from doing exceptionally stupid things.
The correct response would have been something like: “My family has long had stories about our Cherokee ancestry. In response to recent questions that prompted me to look for the truth, I had a DNA test performed. While the test showed, perhaps, a small amount of Native American ancestry, any such ancestry is too small to be relevant, and there is no way to tell whether any Native American ancestry was in fact Cherokee. I’m rather embarrassed to find that our family legends were for all practical purposes not accurate, and I apologize for misstating that past. Now that I know the truth, I will stick to those facts.”
Nope. She had to double down on stupid. Now even Oren Hatch is making fun of her: “DNA Test Results 1/1032 T-Rex.” When you’re right, stand up for your view (President Trump is the world’s expert there). When you’re wrong, back down immediately (Senator Warren is the worlds biggest failure in that area).
DEMS are scraping the barrel.
This Fauxahountis is just plain stupid.
Question: What person identifies as a race from 8 generations ago or more?
Ans: A nut or someone wanting to gain an advantage by doing so.
So did B.Hussein who should be outed next. Without question he posed as a foreign student, it’s why the literary agent put “born in Kenya” on his booklet. She claims it was a fact checking error by her assistant. Well where did her assistant get this information? There’s only one possible source: B. Hussein himself. Where else would it come from? Either she got it from him verbally or he had this information down on records. She obviously didn’t make it up for no reason and why would anyone else? It was 100% from him. Back then he was passing himself off as a foreign student and I even doubt his birth name was Barack Hussein Obama. Why would a woman name her kid after a guy who immediately runs away the second he learns she is pregnant?
I believe the rat party is set up in two competing camps, and has been for a while - Clinton vs Obama. Warren is in the Obama camp, and CNN aint.
