In response to recent questions that prompted me to look for the truth, I had a DNA test performed. While the test showed, perhaps, a small amount of Native American ancestry, any such ancestry is too small to be relevant, and there is no way to tell whether any Native American ancestry was in fact Cherokee. I’m rather embarrassed to find that our family legends were for all practical purposes not accurate, and I apologize for misstating that past. Now that I know the truth, I will stick to those facts.”

When you’re wrong, back down immediately (Senator Warren is the worlds biggest failure in that area).
