30 hours of debate is allocated after the cloture vote.

If the cloture vote is Friday AM, the confirmation vote would be Saturday PM???

The date of a wedding can be changed. This date of your duty to America will not be changed
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A year ago my son was to be married. We had to cancel it because he was in the ICU. Things change, roll with it.
No. Senators must be present to vote. That is why there is a history of senators being brought in on stretchers to cast a vote.
Duty to country comes before his daughter’s wedding. Service men and women miss many important events in the lives of their families. Congressman Steve King missed his son’s wedding because of the Obamacare vote. Congressman King made the right decision.
Depending on the Friday cloture vote, we might be able to let the Senator skip the confirmation vote and attend the wedding on Saturday.
If Flake/Murkowski/Collins/Manchin are all YES, then we have extra votes.
No, you pinged yourself.
the simple and easy way is to hit ‘abuse’ on yourself.
Typical aristocratic attitude from a lawmaker who does not understand that he’s supposed to be a public servant. I’d be embarrassed to call him my Senator. He sounds like a good argument against the 17th amendment.
