Whatever Flake’s position, he has enabled the possibility of some deep state mischief from the FBI to punish Trump. The FBI has one week to dig up new “witnesses” or even start asking for “more time” several times until after the midterms. This is Flake’s middle finger to Trump on his way out the door.

Well, the Democrats won again. We hold the senate, the house and the WH, yet we never win, never. Pointless to vote.
OK... Fine... Let’s do the background check on all the accusers to find the skeletons in their closet and find them absolutely not creditable.
Then make sure that the Senate is chastised for purposely fully backing these people going into the midterms.
Attach everything they ever did wrong to those and their party who supported them as creditable. :)
This is all mumbo-jumbo inside baseball stuff. FBI doesn’t have a time machine, which is why they declined the first time. Kavanaugh will be on the Supreme Court. But as POTUS said, “there may be delays”.
I say McConnell should make everyone work through the weekend.
Grassley ignored request for delay on senate floor, which the committee can’t force anyway. Called Flake’s bluff and called for the vote. He voted to send out of committee.
Now up to McConnell. If he has the votes, he goes ahead. If not, then we will see.
Grassly has indicated he has had over 20 investigators working on this. They are former FBI, ICE and other professionals. FBI already done 6 background checks on kavanaugh. I think this might be about a perjury trap now. Hoping FBI might find someone who said Kavanaugh was passed out drunk somewhere.
Regardless what a mess. Republicans are just a notch above the traitorous democrats.
