Judge Brett Kavanaugh & Professor Christine Blasey Ford Testify
The Senate Judiciary Committee hears testimony from Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Professor Christine Blasey Ford about her allegations that Judge Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her while the two were teenagers.
I haven’t listened to this throughout, but at this late point this lawyer for the republicans isn’t doing anything beyond clairifying the record for Dr. Ford. She’s not uncovering anything useful for Kavanaugh’s defense.
Kavanaugh’s interrogation after this will be a trial by ordeal.
None of this is really happening because she’ll never show!
I am not the only one tired of her voice. Surprised they don’t have ribbons and pony tails.

It’s more than that. It’s risk vs rewards.
Is it worth the risk to have a relationship with a woman. Is it worth the risk to marry.
Is there any way to have kids WITHOUT having to have a relationship with women.
I have 2 boys and a girl. Their all worried. Boys are worried about the how - what’s the right way to express interest, etc. My daughter? She’s in a relationship right now, but her friends are finding that everything is changing. She has friends who want to date, and there are plenty of single guys who are just not.
Not worth the drama, the investment in time.
Technology is going to change things too. Sex aids for men are leapfrogging the technology available for women.
I look at this through the prism of market forces. The barriers to a relationship that has a reasonable chance of not resulting in losing access to your kids and half (or more) of your property are exceedingly high.
The ONLY people who can fix that are women. Full stop.
What I find interesting is that while prostitution is generally illegal, technology is figuring a way around that. That prostitution was illegal was related to the motivations that led the State to foster marriage - it’s good for the State, good for society, etc.
Prostitution is bad for that, but now the value of marriage/good parenting/family integrity is now deemed low. At what point does intimacy become a strict matter of commercial exchange?
Most of the objectives had to do with attorney-client privilege and were “sustained”/steered in a sufficient direction by Grassley with Ford’s attorney’s consent BTW.
So... DiFi’s staff suggested ONE of her attorneys.

How interesting, Dianne Feinstein’s office and staff recommended lawyers to her in the DC area? How is that being unbiased, and uninvolved? Wouldn’t that be against committee ethics?
Am I to understand that the Republicans have relinquished ALL their questioning of Ford to this Woman Prosecutor?
Might as well throw Kavanaugh down a Well to see if he drowns to prove his innocence.
Kavanaugh could show up with footage from a Body Cam he wore on the day in question, whatever day that is, and they would still be piling up the Wood for the Pyre.
What a waste of time. If this is the best Strategy the GOP could come up the outcome is assured.
Good thing they didn't use the same tact for the Thomas Confirmation Hearing. He would have ended up being remembered as that Black guy they screwed over like Bork instead of being an Associate SCOTUS Justice.

I can’t imagine her at a lectern in front of a college class. If she spoke in this little girl fakey whiny voice, the students would look at one another, get up, and leave, on their way to the registrar’s office to drop the course. She comes off as 100% fake, whiny voice and all.
Many of my friends are liberals, from years back when I was one. EVERY time there is some big political scandal, I hear them discussing it. Have not heard one mention the Kavanaugh issue. Makes me wonder why not.
