IF she were to testify, I believe she would have a “nervous breakdown in front of the committee”...real or faked...to garner more sympathy.

Yes, there are -- although the questions apparently may not all be asked by the Senators themselves. Thing is, because she's testifying first, if they object to her being asked about motive, or sexual history, or any of that, then they've tied their hands when Kavanaugh gets up there and they try to ask him the same thing.
She and they are going to look pretty foolish if they try to say "his sexual history and motives are relevant, but mine aren't". While there is actually some legal basis for that distinction to some extent, it's not going to play well publicly. And that really only applies ot the sexual history stuff. Motive is always fair game.
Anyway, if they make objections like that, Grassley is the one who rules on them, and he is sharp enough to say "the rules should be the same for both parties, so let's makes sure they're clear right now." If they can't ask Kavanaugh anything about his sexual/drinking,etc., history in high school, then his testimony would be a huge letdown for the left.
The Democrats are in a tough spot politically. To appease their base, they'd have to argue that the rules should be different for Ford and Kavanaugh. But that is an unappealing, loser argument for anyone who isn't part of their base.
Anyway, it is considerations like those that might give her pause to testifying. Perjury isn't an issue except for some conservatives who don't understand the law engaging in wishful thinking. Wholly apart from it being the Senate, accusers who are disbelieved are never charged with perjury unless there is independent corroborating evidence that 1) what they said was false, and 2) they knew it was false when they said it. Never, ever happens in a case like this one unless something comes out after the fact where she basically admits it.

This is not a case of “she said, he said” as her handlers would have one believe but a case of “she said,and everyone else denied it” This woman has no intention of testifying and having her story scrutinized. She will not show while making noises of not being afforded a “fair hearing” because, of course, such foolish notions as due process have no place in a “fair hearing” and will rear her head just before the midterms on 60 Minutes where she will get a “fair hearing” not subject to scrutiny or due process for the accused.
They are worried that Kavanaugh will make a much more favorable impression. Far better to scrap the interview and then blame the Reps for confirming him without allowing Ford to speak. Ford will then appear on 60 minutes and The View before the midterms.

This is the big one, much bigger than a single nominee and it is meant for Trump's nominees for any position. ...and for future Republican presidents as well. No matter the outcome for Kavanaugh, Dems win on this. They are evil.

If she’s planning to drive across the country she should have left home Sunday afternoon. No way can she get there by Thursday if she hasn’t left yet.
The democrats keep asking for an fbi investigation. We all know Kavanaugh is innocent. I would like someone to ask every democrat, “if the fbi find nothing will you accept their findings?” Get them on record, yes or no. We know they won’t.
I also know the fbi is probably part of the swamp. These people are so evil. I watched him and his wifes interview. He was on the verge of tears. If snowflakes watched this I think they would see his and his wives pain. They might blink, but then remember they can’t fool around and get their abortions if he’s nominated. What an empty existence they must have. They need God desperately.
