Strategery: Late Friday Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Charles Grassley took to Twitter to announce he’d granted Christine Blasey Ford, who has accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, another delay after she said, through her lawyer, she would not be ready to testify before his committee by early next week.
The delay was hugely disappointing to supporters of Judge Kavanaugh because they a) don’t buy Ford’s 36-year-old allegations given the suspicion and controversies surrounding them; and b) believe that he will make a fine Supreme Court justice for decades to come.
It’s not clear why Grassley, R-Iowa, caved again. It’s also not clear why he would complain that he believes Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., is running the Senate rather than Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., especially since McConnell told a gathering in D.C. on Friday — in no uncertain terms — that Kavanaugh would “soon” be seated at the high court.

What is the basis for this claim?
Its not that complicated. They are afraid of the optics of caterwauling democrats rending their garments in anguish over the perceived atrocity before them. The dims know this and will milk it to the last drop. Funny, I thought we won the election.
IF Kavanaugh’s nomination fails, but the GOP picks up additional Senate seats in November, President Trump should re-nominate Judge Kavanaugh when the new Senate convenes - IF the judge is willing to put up with the dem BS again.

I my view, Ford’s claim is nothing more than a figment of her’s, or someone else’s imagination - pure fabrication from start to finish.
If FR and other like minded people would say this, maybe it would take hold.

I have not had time to watch or care about this story, but one look at Kavanaugh and all I saw was
“Deep State Globalist Bush Plant To Give Them An Impeachment Vote Against Trump”.
Has ANYONE vetted this person, I mean conservatives, and not RINOs... has anyone really vetted this guy according to how we should be thinking, post-John Roberts?
Just because Trump is for Kavanuagh means nothing in this regard.And just because the Democrats are against Kavanugh does not mean he's been vetted.

I think Kavanaugh will be another Roberts. He’s the most conservative judge with a chance of getting approved, but he’s a middle of the road consensus builder - like Roberts. Of course, it could be what he is going through now will enlighten him on what the country is facing.

This gives the lie to ANY twaddle about the potential hearing dates being merely "arbitrary."
When Ford finally comes to the committee, she will make up some new charge which will need even more time to investigate. This will go on and on. At some point, Grassley is going to have to stop it. The Dems and the media will scream “sexism” no matter what happens, and some stupid Republican and independent suburban women will be persuaded to not vote for Republicans. It’s just the way it is.
