Lol @ breaking. This is NOTHING.
I hope he is wildly accusing someone here with zero evidence, or he’s no better than Ford.
*hope he isn’t
The content may be a nothing, but folks have been speculating on the alleged Whelan “bombshell” since last week. Now we know.
He raises a plausible theory.
I wish you would have pasted more of this. I’m cubical bound and cannot access twitter.
Interesting analysis. If nothing else, it does create reasonable doubt. Those two high school pictures show those two as almost look-alike twins. And she admits being drunk.
I’ll try. It’s a long twitter thread with diagrams and pictures.
She could also be completely lying about what happened knowing it wasn’t Kavanaugh and it was simply four other drunk kids messing around.
It makes sense. But I hate seeing anyone falsely accused.
If Ed Whelan could figure this out, Doctor Chrissie could have figured this out with ease. She knew these kids and would have been accessing their yearbooks to figure out who were the gropers. She’s had 36 years to figure it out.
She is an embarrassment to women who have been assaulted, especially since she’s a psychologist with a PhD.
Based on her vague repressed memories it would be hard to deny she could mix up those two, or any number of others.

Dr. Ford may well have been the victim of a severe sexual assault by someone 36 years ago. Her allegations are so vague as to such basic matters as when and where that it is impossible for Judge Kavanaugh to *prove* his innocence.

But there are compelling reasons to believe his categorical denial. Lets look at one set of reasons.

According to Fords letter, the assault occurred in a suburban Maryland area home at a gathering that included me and four others. Her WaPo account adds that the house was not far from the Columbia Country Club.
don’t know why you’re so emotionally invested in this being nothing. it’s more than you’re putting forward.
yes but it ironic that NY times editor is asking why journalists are retweeting unverifiable accusation

Okay, Ill begin laying out some information concerning Christine Blasey Fords allegations against Judge Kavanaugh.
The four others that she and her lawyer have identified are Kavanaugh, Mark Judge, P.J. Smyth, and a female classmate of Fords. None of the four lived in the vicinity of the Columbia Country Club.
Kavanaughs home was 3.6 miles away; Smyths 4.3 miles; Judges 10 miles; and the female classmates 7 miles.
Here is a map of the homes in relation to Columbia Country Club. pic.twitter.com/0pXSbSxb49
Here is a house that is barely a half-mile from the Columbia Country Club. Street address: 3714 Thornapple Street, Chevy Chase. p
Here is the houses floor plan: main floor and upstairs. zillow.com/homedetails/37
pic.twitter.com/dp5uMvVTe7
The floor plan corresponds closely to Fords description of the house where the gathering took place. Heres the short stair well (part of a U-shaped staircase with landing) running up from the foyer next to the living room. pic.twitter.com/jEceJiiHNk
Right at the top of the stairs is a door leading to a bedroom. This matches Fords account of the location of the bedroom she was pushed into. pic.twitter.com/cpddGsDwpK
By her account, when she escaped from the bedroom, she r[a]n across to a hallway bathroom. The floor plan shows that the hallway bathroom is across the hall from the bedroom. pic.twitter.com/NIm9gx8hfS
She says the gathering took place in a small family room. See the family room in the upper left of the floor plan. Someone leaving the house down the stairs and out the front door wouldnt be seen from the family room. pic.twitter.com/RFIg04jRTm
Who lived in this house? Chris Garrett, a Georgetown Prep classmate, friend, and football teammate of Brett Kavanaughs. pic.twitter.com/lJYf7zCLQj
Garrett was good friends with Mark Judge. Their friendship appears to have continued long after graduation, as this 2012 Facebook exchange shows. pic.twitter.com/B1yRe4JsM2
Folks who knew both Kavanaugh and Garrett in high school have commented on how much they resembled each other in appearance. Here are Kavanaugh and Garrett in their senior yearbook photos. pic.twitter.com/9VmLL3zNq9
And here are Kavanaugh and Garrett now. pic.twitter.com/Yi9iI1yRHH
If youre at a gathering of four others in someones home, youd ordinarily think that the four others include the host who lives in the home. And that host would be the person least likely to act like a guest and most likely to use private areas of the house.
If the gathering was at Garretts house and Garrett was there, then one of the four others wasnt there.
Kavanaugh categorically denies being at the gathering and committing the assault. Beyond his countless character witnesses from then and now, Judge and Smyth have informed the Senate Judiciary Committee that they recall no such gathering *at which Kavanaugh was present*.
Whelan has all but alleged that Chris Garrett assaulted Christine "Betty" Ford here.
Garrett wasn't named in any of the reports I've seen about Ford's allegation -- so Whelan is either really going out on a limb here (and exposing himself to some potential legal consequences), or he knows more than he is saying right now.
