Watching Fox News. Just had a live interview with Rick Leventhal in Wilmington. Has video of looters (the usual perp types) at a Family Dollar and someone yelled at him "where are the police? Our taxes pay for them?." Leventhal contacted the police and they responded back that it was a "management decision" not to respond (their response was shown on the story)

Stand down is not OK
If true you wont find people evacuating for the next storm.
You SHOOT LOOTERS!
To bad the shops aren’t owned by Koreans!
That is exactly why people don’t leave. Where are the predeployed National Guard? There were days notice that this storm was coming. The area where Leventhal was reporting had power as you could see people getting gas across the street from him. And traffic was moving on the street.
I think i will tell the cop to stand down the next time i am pulled over.
How many Family Dollar stores have helped out poor families? I’m not too ashamed to say that when my beloved husband lost his job that we shopped here and came to really appreciate its cheap prices and varied ingredients?? I was the one white girl among the crowd, too! Sharper than a serpent’s tooth is an ungrateful customer...
Same politicians who allow Confederate monuments to be taken down.
You and I are of the same mind on that. I will settle for less.
At least we won’t have a president explaining how he completely understands the mind of the looters.
I want to see them surrounded and arrested. And then I want them given a minimum 20 year sentence, to be served in full.
After Andrew in Miami - Cops / Shmops!
Who needed the cops? Our Cuban American brothers and Sisters + us rednecks were armed to the teeth. In Cutler Bay, shortly after the winds stopped a “youth” breaking into the back door of a residence accepted the Room Temperature Challenge. That cooled things down for a bit.
News of that, plus lotsa “You loot; we shoot!” signs kept the cars full of “sightseers” (and there were lots of them) moving through at a brisk pace.
This sound like a job for a Smith & Wesson home protection system.
Why the left wants to disarm normal, productive people: so that the “oppressed” can waltz right in and take what is “rightfully” theirs.
Leventhal will probably be told not to show or talk anymore about the underbelly of storm aftermath. Just the positive, rescues, clean-up, etc. Except for the personal tolls (deaths, injuries, damage) avoid negative reporting such as looting, crime, etc. According to usual MSM policy, criticism about the recovery effort is only to be directed at President Trump and his agency actions and directors
Stand down is not okay.——and police “stand down”
When the Antifa cretins hit our GOP people with metal, tear gas us in the face, gang up to punch and kick us while we’re down on the ground—and the police stand down, that is wrong. There is something called right and wrong” and I want to instruct them that this is “wrong.” Get it,you guys?
We are soon going to be in a physical civil war and we cannot have the police on the other side. That is unimaginable.
In the Soviet Bolshevik takeover ,Cuba with Castro, several Latin American civil wars and others, the military and police had to decide on taking sides. We cannot allow the police to be on the leftist side in our civil war.
Yes you do, which is why a lot of Charlestonians loved Ruben Greenberg- the Chief of Police of Charleston, SC when Hugo hit. He let it be known- rightfully or wrongfully so - that he had asked then Governor Carrol Campbell to allow for looters to be shot on sight. Needless to say, during and after Hugo there was no problem with looting.

“NEWS ALERT - We are aware of the looting occurring at the Family Dollar Store at 13th & Greenfield Sts, unfortunately management has asked not to intervene at this time.”
See my post at #17.
I saw it and Leventhal said he talked to the police who talked to Family Dollar that requested the police not to interfere or arrest the looters. Evidently, Family Dollar appears to need their store cleaned out and appreciate the looters doing the job for them for free.
WTF? Im done with FD.
The Koreans learned this lesson in the L.A. Riots. They were all armed and the men all had military experience from being drafted in Korea. When the first Korean storekeeper was killed by the ferals, they all pulled out their weapons and defended their stores, shooting to kill the looters.
The police have never given a complete total of the number of looters killed by gunfire. But no Korean stores were attacked after initially being repulsed and they haven’t been attacked to this day.
