That is exactly why people don’t leave. Where are the predeployed National Guard? There were days notice that this storm was coming. The area where Leventhal was reporting had power as you could see people getting gas across the street from him. And traffic was moving on the street.

You are so right. One more of many nails in the coffin of the trust people used to have for public officials.
And the "it's not safe to go back yet" is complete bull patties. The looters don't seem to be in any danger, especially from the police!
