The weird crap that flies over me would make me unsurprised if someone told me we captured an alien craft and had been testing it.
I’ve been knocked flat by a sonic boom when I could see no craft — in a flat, open, prairie. And, mind you, I was an artillery officer; I am used to big booms.

I can think of several reasons that they might want to do this... and I don’t like some of them, and think it might be handled better.

I recall they wanted to close Sunspot a few years back because it was outdated. So I assume one of the big boys could see whatever Sunspot may be looking at towards the Sun.
