Fox News host Tucker Carlson started his show Wednesday night claiming he had a pretty good idea who wrote the controversial anonymous New York Times op-ed and added that representatives from his show had called the White House for comment.
Earlier in the day, The New York Times published an anonymous op-ed that was allegedly written by a senior official in the Trump administration.
We think weve got a pretty good idea who wrote this piece. Weve called the White House for comment on it tonight. But until we confirm the identity, of course, were not going to accuse anybody in public, Carlson said.

One Word Has People Convinced Mike Pence Wrote Anonymous New York Times Op-Ed

Not sure it has been mentioned yet, but didnt Obama set the precedent of spying on journalists.
If it was okay then, isnt it also acceptable now with the left?
Trump could also have the FBI spy on this political operative...maybe obtain a FISA warrant issued against an associate.
Or it’s a collaborative work of fiction by the New York Times’ editorial staff - not too dissimilar to the other collaborative works of fiction they run every day, save for the claim it was written by a Trump insider. :)
Pence would not do this if he is the strong Christian man he claims to be. Its not Pence.
Pence wouldn’t do that directly himself anyway.
Sally Yates ?
Not really much of a clue, since Pence has almost as many people who would like to take him out of the picture as Trump does, and anyone writing this type of letter would likely attempt to direct suspicion to someone expendable.
Pence is probably cowering in an underground bunker. The Trump derangement syndrome is pernicious and there are hordes of infected nut jobs with nothing else to do but swarm on anything trump, going out in public would be like an episode of the Walking Dead
Yup.
else fire anyone from previous administrations or recommended by suspect traitors, like Prebus.
that would be good. Hanging them from lampposts all along Pennsylvania Ave, with signs hanging from their necks, TRAITOR, would be much better.
I know Pence is a weak putz, but could he, or his speech writer, be that stupid? Maybe it’s the NYT purposely using that word to cause mistrust.
FBI Gives Reward to Unabomber's Brother
The Unabomber was fingered by his brother, who, at the urging of his wife, read the Unabomber's 35,000-word anti-technology manifesto and recognized the style.
Up to that point, the FBI had been without a clue.
Civil War II is coming. Just waiting for the spark.
Just find out which turd has a book deal lined up.
Bookmarking.
Effective immediately the Times should lose ALL access to the White House and any Federal property. >>>>>>>>>>
Exactly. Sedition is a crime that is outlined in the Federal Statutes for a reason. Even if not prosecuted it can be apprehended and prevented.
But then PDJT plays the NYT like a fiddle. Not a bad thing.
Stephen Ford? You don’t mean President Ford’s son..!? That name is a blast from the past.
Whether this Op-Ed is genuinely a WH Official or not, ever since Dwight Eisenhower the media have portrayed Republican presidents as lazy, ill-informed, maniacs while Democrat presidents are hard working, reliable and admired.
Could you imagine if a WH staffer wanted to pen a piece or reveal information anonymously on a Democrat administration’s underhand dealings? It’ll never have been accepted.
The Pentagon Papers had little to do with Richard Nixon but he took the canning. Washington Post got the Pulitzer for it, WikiLeaks has told us some corrupt happenings in the Obama administration. They should go full-out now.
It wouldn't even get that far. If someone on the inside had tried to snitch on Obama, the NYT (or WaPo, or AP, or NBC, etc) would have picked up the phone and ratted them out within seconds.
Mike Pence?
I kid... I kid!
Yep. Dan Coats. It’s framed around security and has the arrogant stench of “Olde Swamp Spice”.
