Acts of sabotage against the president are perilous to the American system of government. They're also self-serving.
The title of Bob Woodward’s new book, Fear, contains a multitude of meanings. For one thing, it describes the attitude of many of President Trump’s own aides toward his judgment.
It’s not just that many sources were willing to tell Woodward damaging stories about Trump: The most stunning examples are those where top aides reportedly thwarted his will. Even more stunning is an anonymous op-ed published in The New York Times Wednesday afternoon written by a purported “senior official in the Trump administration.”
The writer says that senior Trump officials “are working diligently from within to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations. I would know. I am one of them.” The official adds: “We believe our first duty is to this country, and the president continues to act in a manner that is detrimental to the health of our republic.”
The op-ed is so bizarre that it is tempting to dismiss it as fantasy—akin to the obviously bogus Twitter accounts that flourished early in the administration claiming to be by saboteurs inside the White House. (While the Times has likely done its homework, expect the president to question the veracity of the source.) Yet what the anonymous official says lines up closely with the accounts in Woodward’s book, in which officials steal documents, act on their own, and simply disregard orders from the president....

It’s a blatant and direct fictional attack on the President, who happens to be the Republican party leader, and that is a blatant attempt by the NYT to influence every election in the country.
We see this time and again with Republican presidents; try to accomplish in the media and the courts what they can’t get at the ballot box. Nixon and Watergate (Bernstein’s parents were red flag communists). They tried it twice on Reagan (a supposed purloined debate briefing book from the Carter campaign enabled Reagan to wipe the floor with him in the debate); then Iran-Contra but they got nowhere. Didn’t really try it on the Bushes, Bush I was liberal and ineffectual and Bush II ditto.

You can look it up. It was front page news everywhere when he outed himself at least 10 years ago if not more. He said he did it because he was mad Nixon did not make him FBI director. He was all over TV. Woodward and Bernstein confirmed it was him. Where were you when all of this was happening?

A coup for sure, but not clear how coordinated, but probably more than we imagine. We have federal judges deciding the POTUS can’t act with Executive privilege. We have the NSA,CIA,FBI all seemingly working to topple the Presidency. And then the Deep State itself, including the State Department.
No doubt inside we have Hillary - Obama guiding this thing; and Soros working on the outside with ANFITA, and other insurgents.

I think Obama is too afraid of getting caught. He started it when he was protected as president. Now, he’s a private citizen like the rest of us.
Whatever acts of treason they have committed are so heinous and damaging to the country they have to drive this president out of office before he exposes what they’ve done.
I totally agree and posted the same earlier this week. There was some bad stuff going on under BO and they are desparate that it will be found out. There is no other explanation for this irrational, unhinged behaviour.
It would begin in sanctuaruy cities, citizens against gangs. The rest of the country would travel to help.
It would not involve armies as in CWII, but a continuing series of citizen action that would make it clear that they will not allow law enforcement to be overwhelmed. The Blue state governors would be reluctant to activate the national guard, but eventually they would. Thats when the test would come on whether it would expand, whether the national guard uints would side with The People.They might split.
But this era would not see the massive armies of CWI. CWII would be insurgency, guerilla warfare in sanctuary cities which refuse federal law enforcement.
