Top Democratic Sen. Charles E. Schumer shot down suggestions Tuesday that his party would boycott committee meetings or Senate floor action to try to derail President Trump’s Supreme Court pick.
Liberal activists have demanded Mr. Schumer use every tool at his disposal to try to thwart the elevation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the high court, including parliamentary delays.
Mr. Schumer, though, said there aren’t a lot of good tools left to the minority party to delay action now that both parties have curtailed the filibuster, and he said boycotting the committee or floor would just leave Republicans more space to get their way.

I agree, he’s been talking big and realizes he can’t back any of it up.
The more I learn -- McCain endorses him, he was a Bushie guy, and now it appears that the Dems are okay with him -- the more I become concerned that this guy will swing wildly to the left when confirmed.

They will use the hearings to smear Kavanaugh and raise funds and the MSM will happily aid them.
Schumer filibustering Gorsuch was the only card they had. He doubted the Repubs would change the rules to simple majority. Boy, was he wrong.
They plan to try to turn it into a Circus ?

I’d have liked to have heard what Chuckie said in private when that happened, I’ll bet he was out of control.

It’s a great fund raiser for the Dems. I guessing the money is pouring in.
It may very well turn out this was a tit-for-tat swap for Kennedy. I think Kavanaugh will still be an improvement, and Trump is playing the long game.
The dems have already decided that they will vote NO. They have shown us their true colors. They are unfit for office.

Being exceptionally qualified is of no importance, just Left is what counts? Democrats haven't always acted like this, they once cared for their constituents and their country. In the past four or so decades, anytime a non-left leaning person was elected to office, liberals refused to accept the election results...it is no different now...the left has become dictatorial, they want power and wealth, i.e., socialism...who will do nothing for an independent person, they will only address a situation if it is collective...power over the people is the Progressive's agenda.

I was hoping that Schumer wouldn’t figure that out and brag to his constituents that he would just take his ball and go home. You could legislate them out of existence in a couple of hours if they would oblige by boycotting and not showing up.
