University of Toronto psychology professor Jordan Peterson has become a new favorite target of the left on American college campuses. Peterson defies the progressive narrative on gender, and other issues. For this, he is declared anti-LGBT.
Peterson is slated to give a lecture at the University of Texas at San Antonio, but a socialist student group is trying to get the event cancelled.

Socialist students seek to shut down Jordan Peterson event
A socialist student group at the University of Texas at San Antonio is promoting a petition demanding the cancellation of an upcoming lecture featuring Dr. Jordan Peterson.
The petition, which was started by a group called People Over Politics, contends that Peterson "makes a living promoting conversion therapy and spreading lies about transgender people," calling him "one of the most vocal and divisive anti-LGBTQ individuals in North America."
The Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA) chapter at UTSA shared the petition on Twitter, urging classmates to join the effort to prevent Peterson from delivering his scheduled lecture at the Tobin Center for Performing Arts on October 10 as part of his "12 Rules for Life Tour."
Not only does the petition demand that the Tobin Center, a municipal auditorium, cancel the event, it also calls for the Center to "commit to scheduling programming that does not discriminate against people on the basis of an individual's race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, disability, familial status, national origin, or age."

San Antonio unveils a rainbow crosswalk and celebrates Pride this weekend, yet our city has invited one of the most vocal and divisive anti-LGBTQ individuals in North America to speak at the Tobin Center. Jordan Peterson makes a living promoting conversion therapy and spreading lies about transgender people. Considering the damage that San Antonio and our trans community would suffer if state lawmakers pass a bathroom bill next Spring, why in the world would we give this man a stage in our most celebrated performance hall?
Tell the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts to:
- Cancel their event featuring Dr. Jordan Peterson on October 10, 2018;
- And, commit to scheduling programming that does not discriminate against people on the basis of an individual's race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, disability, familial status, national origin or age.

A new change.org petition is asking the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts to cancel the Oct. 10 speaking appearance of Jordan B. Peterson, the conservative pop psychologist known for inflammatory statements about LGBT people and... well, just about everyone else other than straight white men.
Peterson, a best-selling author with a popular YouTube channel, found fame when, as a psychology prof at the University of Toronto, he lashed out at a Canadian bill he claimed would compel him to refer to transgender students by their preferred pronouns.
He's emerged as a right-wing media darling by presenting himself as a science-savvy intellectual who can pick apart key tenets of social-justice movements --that patriarchy exists, for example, or that institutional bigotry is real.
The Huffington Post recently wrote a glowing piece about a 10 year old drag queen. Peterson commented on the story on Twitter:

This is an example of why the left has declared him a public enemy.
Peterson asks people to think for themselves, analyze their own behavior, and to take responsibility for themselves, while describing the moral and psychological framework of the West’s Christian outlook for the last 2000 years.
Of course the Left will hate him

These people are all about suppression of freedom. Imread multiple comments at leftist sites whining about how “conservative media” is a main force in the current ascendance of the right, and their solution to that is not to rebut with their own ideas (for which they have the majority of media outlets, all the traditional mainstream outlets, almost the entirety of the entertainement industry, an almost total lock on academia), but to shut down the few outlets and spokesmen for conservative thought and ideas, with force and violence, is need be.
The wonder is that conservatism is doing as well as it is, considering the forces and access to means of propaganda the other side has.
1) Make Peterson shut up.
2) Give us a bigger megaphone.
As the leftists become more unhinged, the more I see the “goats” separating themselves from the “sheep.”

Peterson seldom touches on queers, and then only because those saddos are thrust upon him. I’m ready to carry out the commissariat trash.

“Shut up,” they argued.
Going to college has taught them zero. They have only learned to hate and become more ignorant. Wake up children and become thinking and decent adults.

Why are they afraid of free speech? They’re afraid that only they’re capable of figuring out what people should hear? Are they afraid of truth?

They are socialists, and socialism is the political creed of control freaks.
A bald-faced lie. He rarely addresses the issue. He only answers questions on it if the audience has them. And even then, there's no prejudice on his part whatsoever. But these days, declaring the obvious, that it's wrong to force people on pain of prison to use a made-up pronoun, has become a hate crime.
The funny thing is, he's anything but divisive. He's gentle, polite, and self-deprecating. But the screechers on the Left never listen long enough to realize that.
Where is the Ohio National Guard when you need them?
