MEXICO CITY (Reuters)-Mexicans voted overwhelmingly for anti-establishment outsider Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador in Sunday's presidential election, exit polls showed, betting a leftward turn in government could end the corruption and violence that has blighted the country.
One exit poll by polling firm Parametria showed Lopez-Obrador, a former Mexico City mayor, winning between 53 percent and 59 percent of the vote, far ahead of his two main rivals from Mexico's traditional ruling parties....

A hard core leftist win in Mexico; the economy goes to heck and a handbasket quickly-Venezuela but in a much shorter time. Millions more Mexicans trying to cross the border.
I am very worried about the future of Mexico. It was not all that great before but it will quick fall into the abyss and millions new “refugees” demanding free education, housing, food, and medical care.
It really might be smart to have a wall built BEFORE they become Venezuela, or devolve into civil war. How would 5 or 10 million a month crossing the border look?
This is a matter of national survival.

What difference does it make who they voted for? Mexico is already a failed state and the new guy will not change that. Most of the people who did vote for him, as well as those who didn’t, are looking to futures in the US, which they can enter at will due to our inability to build a border wall.

It’s going to give the Left a conundrum, because people leaving Mexico, that means they’d have to admit that Leftist policies are a failure.
The Mexican Government will follow the lead of Venezuela. The Democrat Party will be their enablers in the United States. Before we are next asked to vote for the President of the United States, we will understand how destructive the Mexican Government and the Democrat Party can be to our way of life. After another four years of Trump the way ahead for our Republic will be clear.
I don’t know about that statement, but if he made it, he was probably being sarcastic, since he also stated that unlimited immigration into the USA is a human right. I don’t think he’s interested in our territorial integrity.
If he wants to take Mexico toe-to-toe with the US, close the border and send Mexicans home. Wonder what gaining back 25% of their population will do for them. We sure don’t need or want them. Okay, nor do they. They all need to learn to respect the US.
