The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to hear an appeal from county officials in North Carolina who argue they should be allowed to give a prayer at the start of public meetings.
The Rowan Country Board of Commissioners had asked the court to reverse the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling, which found the board’s prayer ritual violated the Constitution’s ban on government establishing one religion.

It is a living constitution dont you know? No sales tax on out of state purchases in 1992 but just fine now. Same for prayer.

Correct. The Constitution forbids Congress from passing any laws that have anything to do with an establishment of religion or the free exercise thereof.
A local government that allows prayer during their meetings is supporting the Constitution of the United States, without regard to the individual’s religion or religious expression.
Anything more than that is not in the actions of the local government, but in the mind of the complainer, er, hearer.
Thomas is correct. There is a conflict between 2 Appeals Courts that is required to be settled by the USSC. The 7 justices who punted ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Exactly. The courts have no constitutional power to impose its view on American citizens. Only congress can intervene in these matters by passing a law. If a thousand brushfires flare up against these unelected black-robe fascists, there’s not a thing the courts can do.

I agree=- absolutely!- The state is violating the constitution by not allowing government employees their right to pray- and this is a supreme court issue because their rights are being violated- The SC’s job is to rule whenever someone’s rights are violated- they are there to uphold the constitution and be the final authority on the issue

Precisely- or they scream ‘we don’t want your prayers and thoughts’ which seems to be the thoughts of many who kicked God out today- We’re hearing the left say that more and more- Sad that they don’t want God’s blessings on this nation.
