Did Kagen and Sotomayor break with tradition by publicly blasting the decisions OR did their dissent(s) get circulated? In today’s technological era, dissents are broadly published, but that’s not the same as, say, holding a press conference to blast the majority decision.

On what basis?

Of course their tantrums are ineffective, but they’re fun to watch.

Cue McCain suggesting Garland in 3...2...1...

Abortion has become sacrocant in this country, almost as if it is a unspoken natural right for women, many people fear what happens it is repealed....

I don’t agree with that position, but it’s where we are culturelly.

That’s why i think the Scotus will modify rather than appral.

Only need majority to confirm Supreme Court.

Republicans have only 51 senators. If any two of Flake, McCain, Murkowski, or Collins say No, then the nomination fails. I'm assuming the Dems will vote in lockstep.

I have an immense schadenboner right now.

“Well beyond garden-variety schadenfreude, a case of schadenboner lasting beyond four hours means the tumescent owner must seek medical attention.”

Democrats Heidi Heitkamp, Joe Manchin and Joe Donnelly — represent North Dakota, West Virginia, and Indiana

All voted for Gorsuch.

Slavery was sacrosanct in the South.

That ended.

Blacks wern’t meant to be treated as the disposable property of Whites and babies weren’t meant to be treated as the disposable property of women.

Any US Citizen can be a Supreme Court Justice. That is the only qualification required within the Constitution.

If someone steals my stuff, I don't ask them to give it up, I take it from them.

Yes. We still have Kagan and Sota. Obama’s picks that are so far over their heads, they need to be impeached.

We could use a couple of others. Kennedy was always the most powerful man in the USA. 4 liberal voters and 4 conservative voters. Kennedy was always the one every side was wanting to win over. His vote was always the one you needed. Now President Donald can put a solid conservative in there. That makes two he will chose. I’d love three more. Roberts can go as far as I am concerned. We won over Kennedy on ObammyCare and stinking Roberts voted against us. Screw the bum. He is as bad as the one Daddy Bush put in there and he turned out to be a solid liberal.

He probably got an invitation for a free junket at the Cibolo Creek Ranch and decided it was time to bow out.

Kennedy was better than most on at least trying to consider the Constitution. His conclusions may have been wrong, but he seems to have thought about it.

What’s so bizarre right now is that the Dems are openly announcing from the start that they will oppose any nominee that Trump proposes.
