Yews, arizona is without one senator and he is extremely selfish and egotistical. I take this to mean the governor is not going to appoint his wife

Dems will demand Garland be seated.

They have no status. Their tantrums are ineffective.

“Dershowitz said Buzzy may retire soon. 1. Her age. 2. She realizes she isn’t effective.”

She wanted Mrs. Bill to name her replacement, right now she’s probably holding until at least the election. Once she sees the Senate will be out of reach for the foreseeable future and the replacement has held strong for 5-4 conservative opinions she will have to decide whether to keep fighting the unwinnable fight or to live the remainder of her life in some peace.

A place he doesn’t deserve to be.

Just like killer Teddy Kennedy.

Nominate Meg Ryan, then the Hollywood idiots will think it’s one of their own and will call off the protests.

Ginsburg is going to stay propped up, while sleeping, as long as she is allowed to do so. If only she wouldn’t take that daily glass of wine, eh?

We must hope that President Trump won’t nominate Judge Hardiman, who was a “runner-up” last time. Judge Hardiman is unreliable. He is ideologically somewhere between Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Kennedy so the improvement would be very small.

He hasn’t voted since DECEMBER 7! What a dishonorable, selfish man. RESIGN already!
************************************************
McCain is definitely dishonorable. IMHO, he is waiting to resign until AFTER the Arizona primary election so Governor Ducey is “free” to name whoever McCain’s recommended replacement is to replace Juan McCain.

NOPE...

He hasn’t been seen except for two photo’s since he returned to AZ...they do not want any photos, video, or anything released on his appearance...as he probably looks like death...
His form of Cancer is invasive and i wonder if he is aware of WHO he is and WHERE he is at...
They say he wrote a book, that he talks to family and aids and that he moves around...total baloney...THEY ARE FOOLING NO ONE BUT THEMSELVES.

He voted right in the Christian baker case, but thanks to him, the decision itself is very weak and doesn’t protect the freedom of religion very much.

I was under the impression he already got rid of the 60 vote rule.

“I am pretty sure Lee removed himself from any consideration some time ago, of course that was then.”

That’s the key - time can change ones perspective. He can continue to be a Senator for the next 20-30 years, be one of 100 voices and constantly politicking - or he can have a lifetime appointment that initially will be the now-conservative deciding vote at least until the Court has another conservative appointment. His father, Rex Lee, was one of the greatest appellate litigators in the country with Sidley Austin, and I believe at the time had argued more Supreme Court cases than anyone alive then. I can’t imagine Senator Lee passing up the opportunity - it’s in his blood. And this is probably his best shot due to his status as a Senator with the battle brewing over this nomination.

I’m not so sure he isn’t in a deep freezer, as we speak, and his family/cohorts have been communicating for him. (Not really. Megan wouldn’t be able to hold it together for that).

Finally a conservative will sit in what should have been Bork’s seat!

Maybe... If President Trump doesn’t nominate Judge Hardiman, who was a runner-up last time and who is ideologically somewhere between Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Kennnedy. We must hope.

I don't think there ever was a rule just a custom, they didn't even use it against Bork. Mitch will have trouble with his RINOs that will be sufficient to derail a true conservative. Right now Flake is holding up any votes on Judges.

At one time I thought Lee would run for President and likely win, now not so much.
