Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be the next to retire, but she will hold out until the November election to see if the Democrats regain the Senate. If not, she will realize that staying on will be an exercise in futility.

The first replacement name I heard on Fox was Senator Mike Lee. That could be a great call - Lee is conservative/libertarian. The Senate has a history of limiting the worse kind of attacks when a Senator is the nominee for whatever office is under consideration, and I think Flake would not stand in the way of Lee. McCain is of course another story - but he likely won’t be there to vote anyway.
There is already a thread over at huffpo about how a president under investigation should not be allowed to appoint an S.C. justice. Right on time, within minutes of Rush predicting that line of talking points.

Either way, she will retire soon. If the Democrats were to take over the Senate, that gives the Dems a lot more leverage on who gets approved.
