Repeat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is heaping more criticism on America's electoral college, this time during an appearance at Oxford in the United Kingdom.
Clinton, who lost the 2016 presidential campaign with 232 electoral votes to President Trump's 306, has previously called for scrapping America's system of electing presidents, instead relying on a direct one-person, one-vote election.
The Democrat was lamenting the power of populism when the subject came up: “Populists can stay in power by mobilizing a fervent base. Now, there are many other lessons like this. Louise mentioned my personal experience with winning 3 million more votes, but still losing. And we will leave discussions of American Electoral College for another day, but Mounk concludes by saying, ‘Turkey also shows that political and intellectual elites, both inside the country and around the world, persistently underestimate the threat which these kinds of leaders pose to the survival of democratic institutions.’”
Clinton also suggested American citizens, under President Trump, may lose their rights to due process.
“Today, the American president tweeted there should be no judicial process, there should be no due process for anyone who crosses the border,” Clinton said. “I can’t help but think, if you strip immigrants and asylum seekers of due process and judicial review, who is next?”
Exactly. The only people who vote for the prime minister are the ones who live in the district he represents. How “democratic” is that?

Hillary, if the game was to win the popular vote, President Trump would have changed the way he campaigned, and won that too, despite the vote anomalies in your favor.
I saw the “apparent winner” designation for Trump in Florida. You’re right, neither MSNBC nor NBC would change it all night even though Trump was ahead by the same 134,000 votes throughout the evening. The only media to give Trump the election before he made his victory speech was the AP when it gave him PA and WI well before the others.
To any liberal demanding an end to the Electoral College I say this:
OK, but that should only happen as part of an overall revamping of the election process. That would include mandatory photo ID for voting, absolute proof of citizenship for registration, elimination of “motor voter”, a paper trail backup for electronic voting, a mandatory periodic purge of voting roles to remove names of dead people, fraudulent registrations, or people who have moved, and mandatory jail sentences for those convicted of vote fraud or ballot tampering.
And when the liberals accuse you of racism, have them explain why they think certain minorities are too stupid or lazy to acquire photo ID.
Then run like hell (or unholster your weapon) because the deranged liberal will try to kill you.

CBS dragged their feet on Pennsylvania. They kept saying they were not stalling and even showed their decision desk people focused intently on their computer screens.
In the meantime, as the vote totals for PA kept rising, the number of precincts counted remained stuck at 97% on their board. Just so happens it gave cover for Hillary to weasel out her concession speech with Podesta’s little stunt.
As you can tell, watching election reruns on youtube is a guilty pleasure. Of all the coverage, I thought Russia Today was the best. Ed Schultz was very fair and insightful. He was generally respectful toward Trump, but he was absolutely scathing and contemptuous toward Hillary, especially after Podesta..
Interesting fact about Ed Schultz. He was a star quarterback in college. I believe he was All American.

This is why I think President Trump should seize and exercise full and complete plenary power , and govern by order and decree , totally crushing and dismantling the rampant , raging Left and directly jailing the likes of Obama & Clinton through Maxine Waters and the idiot traitors that own & control the insidious main stream media . In 2000 algore literally lost the Presidency by about 500 votes (in Florida).ILLary lost PA,MI and WI by a combined 79,000 votes (approx).
Seems to me that algore has a more legitimate gripe against the Electoral College than does ILLary.
I fervently believe that non-citizens (wetbacks,visitors and Green Card holders) should not enjoy all the Constitutional rights that citizens enjoy.I'd love to see a Constitutional Amendment stating exactly that.
And if other countries respond to such an Amendment by adopting such a policy for US citizens I'd have no problem with that.Such a move would simply give US citizens reason to re-think foreign travel.
