Protestors are occupying Immigrations and Custom Enforcement (ICE) facilities across the country, inspired by a Portland protest that resulted in the indefinite shutdown of an ICE detention center on Wednesday.
"Occupy ICE" protestors are blocking the loading deck of ICE headquarters in New York, have set up tents in front of an ICE facility in Los Angeles, and are gathered outside of a detention center in Washington state.
Though the protests are not led by any one group, the Democratic Socialists of America are involved in most states, alongside groups associated with prison abolition, immigration rights and anarchist collectives. The protests are calling for an abolition of ICE and an end to what they call human rights abuses by the criminal justice system, alongside other reforms.
The Portland protest began in response to the Trump administration’s policy of separating migrant children from their parents at the border, a result of the administration's “zero tolerance” policy toward illegal border crossings.
ICE spokeswoman Carissa Cutrell told The Hill on Wednesday that the agency "fully respects the rights of all people to voice their opinion without interference" and "ICE remains committed to immigration enforcement consistent with federal law and agency policy."

I think it’s the Left that gets skewered if his action is shot down. They’re the ones challenging it after all the bluster for him to do so. They will be naked before the public.
As for the children, I think they were being well taken care of. I’m not convinced there’s a reasoned way to accomplish keeping kids with their parents, when their parents are held in an adult environment.
This could easily be worse for the kids.

You sure ICE didn’t hire them to give them another excuse not to do their jobs? They were no where to be found at any Mexican protest for years. They can’t seem to find the east side of cities where all the illegals tend to live. There used to be a website “we hire illegals” but not one of the businesses reported was ever raided.
Open boarders will destroy this country as the government will implode and civil war would break out. Illegals will kill the Republic.
There are posts here about Austin’s new policy of not arresting people for “minor” crimes, because it affects minorities the most.

AT what point does it become treason?
I remember one day in May, 1970 when it was anything BUT a "soft target." Some co-workers and I had an extremely entertaining lunch "hour" in lower Manhattan that day.
I saw The Apple circling the drain before I left 16 years ago...guess it is now fully flushed.
If they commit violence and it can be proven the violence was organized and coordinated by leadership, you would have a conspiracy to commit an act of insurrection, possibly sedition and treason (depending on the stated objective of those leading the violence and insurrection).
