"US authorities have struggled with how to handle the tens of thousands of kids who end up caught by the Border Patrol. Those coming from Mexico are taken straight back across. The rest are referred to the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement (rather than being put in immigration detention with adults) and placed in temporary shelters while their deportation proceedings get under way.
In fiscal 2011, ORR had 53 shelters that housed 6,560 kids. By 2013, there were 80 shelters with nearly 25,000 unaccompanied children

They’ll be sent back home to their families.
Send them home to their parents. Families should not be broken up.

I wonder what would happen if the border patrol started shooting every single illegal alien?
My guess is they would only get a handful, and then the potential illegal aliens would stop trying to enter. We would probably save lives in the long run. We would then have to shoot thousands of liberal moonbats when they went rabid dog with outrage.
Any parent who brings a minor illegally into this country and is caught, should be detained, immediately processed and deported.
Any minor in this country who has arrived here with an illegal parent should be separated from their parents when they are caught, and reunited with them when they are deported.
I don’t see why there are people who think this is complicated. The obvious problem is that we must find a way to process people immediately and accurately. We have to find out before processing them if they have committed a crime (other than the obvious one of being here illegally) I don’t think we want to deport someone who may have murdered an American, only to find out later we let them go.
So other than the “Immediately processed” part, this seems straightforward to me. We readily and responsibly detain children of parents who have been arrested for crimes in this country unless they have relatives they can be placed with. We aren’t starving them or chaining them to the floor. They are being provided for, however austere that provision may be.
Something I haven’t heard anyone mention yet.
They keep saying, “Separating these children from their *parents*”. Well, what if those adults *are not* their parents?
Phoenix has busted a lot of “safe houses” that were no different than slave pens. Say a family of four wants to cross the border. The traffickers will demand $5000, half now, and half later, and they’ll keep their *children*, who come up later with an adult trafficker, as collateral.
These traffickers are horrible criminals. They think nothing of molesting children, or killing them, or raising the price once they have control over the children. They regard their clients as expendable.
Imagine the hysteria if the media discovered dead children, “who crossed the border with their parents”, lying in a ditch with their throats cut?
It is a legal and moral obligation to protect these children from adults who may want to do them harm.
If their parents don’t care about them......WE’re not a Daycare Center.
Point them South, …. don’t ever come back.

Every illegal alien child should be removed from adult control until authorities determine if the child is being abused.
